Then you also don't feel like doing branding/marketing for that song cuz you heard that so many times you feel like it's just a normal ass song nothing special but when we first created it we thought that's gonna take us out of the hood you feel me?

Bro I be cooking up and no joke I sometimes add a new layer or a drum and I sit there for a good minute just hitting the space bar to play what I got on there, and two seconds later I hit the space bar to stop it. And repeat the cycle for a solid minute.
Listening to the same 3 second sample over and over again trying to figure out where to put it until you decide that you don’t like the sample anymore because you’ve listened to it too many times 😂
I would add repeatedly hitting the space bar to play the loop and then hitting space to stop for at least 30 seconds especially when adding more layers to your melody
When you feel your idea is getting stale, look for other samples and make a new beat and come back to it later or revisit sum old and add the final touches

you should place creative limitations on what you can do for each project you work on, if youre a perfectionist.
It takes time but the reward you get after is amazing.
if ur classicaly trained mastermind it takes 20 minutes tops.
