KATIE DEE (20) from New York, describes her unique look as an 'Insane Demon Clown Vampire', which she says makes her feel 'Terrifying, Sexy and Spooky!' Katie Dee has never dressed in normal or conventional clothes and has always found her home in the weird and wonderful. Katie Dee told Truly: "My inspiration for my look comes from traditional goth makeup and fashion, Harley Quinn, clowns and insane crazy little creatures. I just love everything to do with clown culture". Katie Dee feels her most comfortable and confident when she is dressed in her 'Demon Clown' aesthetic, but not all of her family love the look. Katie Dee said: "Growing up, I was raised very Christian and conservative and because of this my mom has never approved of my look. What allowed me to dress this way and develop my style is that I just didn't listen to them! This is me, this is who I am and you're not going to tell me not to be myself". Despite Katie Dee's defiance to her family's wishes, today she is going to do something they would never expect...being transformed from her 'Insane Demon Clown Vampire' look to a 'Sophisticated Classic' style! How will Katie Dee's mom react? Will Victoria love what she sees and hope the 'Demon Clown' has gone for good? Or will she realise that she actually has started to appreciate her daughter's 'Insane Clown' aesthetic?

@@no-xz1vw No, I’m totally cool with her look. She does it so well! The only reason I said anything about the other look is to express that I hope she continues to experiment and try not just that look, but many others, and not get stuck in one mode. She has creative skills, and it would be great to see how she grows and stretches those skills over time.
At some point you have to leave all the face paint behind. Or one day she is going to wake up single no children and look just like her mom with face paint. It's fun when your young to play dress up but at some point, you have to grow up and get real. You don't stay young forever and old ladies with goth face paint is just creepy.

They had one episode with two girls that were besties. And one girl looked nerdy and frumpy I mean that in the nicest way possible she seemed so sweet. But they really jazzed her up she looked gorgeous I had no idea she could look so good. Makeup and clothes really make a huge difference. You can still be different without being in a costume every day.
As a fellow alt person I think it’s the fact that WE see beauty in the makeup and clothes that we like even if everyone else sees it as ugly. We see beauty in our own expression that others don’t and that’s why we prefer our “out there” looks.

I do have a problem with the fact the makeup artist is using her products directly with no sanitization, with her own brushes that have probably been used on hundreds of other people, dipped directly into her products and then back on this person's face! Ew! Sanitize, clean, be mindful of cross contamination. Yuck!
Yep that's MUA 101!!! We always scrape the product off onto a clean palette and then apply, using freshly sanitized brushes (I have a machine that washes them then uses UV lighting to kill any possible remaining bacteria)

I like her first look because it's very creative. I think she should consider keeping the red dress and wearing her red and black hair and adding some accessories and getting some gothic type shoes and stocking to go with that dress. I think that color red looks amazing on her and she could add some accessories she likes to the dress.

Your family is awesome! I was a more outward rebel when i was younger. I enjoy being more a wolf in sheeps clothing now. Totally normal in public, but at a pool friends are surprised by piercings and tattoos.

Her personality look & Glam look are both fabulous! But we SHOULD all make sacrifices for the ones we love. I give a piece of me away with every hug. Maybe she could sacrifice her Sunday's to being her Mother's Daughter, and the rest she can keep to herself. Or the last Sunday of the month. Our parents who made us, should never miss an opportunity to see and watch us grow and our own bodies and faces TRANSFORM as we age.
