This was supposed to be my last par score achievement before I got Overachiever. I spend 20 hours getting trolled by this mission (damn carrier forms never let me jump down properly, save for one run) and get Headstrong. But the MCC's history of fuckeroni achievements got me again. The damn tracker in the game says I'm at 9/10, despite having the par score achievement for every level. Gotta love it.
Enemies just NEVER stopped fucking spawning and rushing me on this level. This shit was absolutely impossible. Also I swear your BOOM! Is like MW2 danger close and my BOOM! Is like nuclear fucking explosions I can't possibly escape from lol
Entire system is a joke. Par times are ridiculous. The fact that it isnt even possible to obtain the Par time on the highest difficulty without glitches and despawning is ridiculous. Not to mention that your score is reliant on the time as well......
@@seanbroccoli2698 no? its just that par times are intended to be played on easy. what might be ridiculous is the legendary 3 hour achievements which almost all require a fair amount of glitches and despawns to be possible to obtain. but... halo has always had really tough achievements.
@@WIllis073 while yes i agree with part 2 but running through the game on easy is not a challenge. If the premises was to do it on easy, it should say so. Par time reflects the average amount of time to complete a level therfore all difficulties should have their own realistic time The only laso i felt was unfair was halo 2. Not only did it contain skulls not present in the original but Gravemind is just not possible getting lit up going to the prison and dying before touching the ground is not fair. especially when the damage was completely unbalanced. Cheif was the 2nd weakest entity in the game. Only the flood infection form was weaker
@Silver Thanks a lot for that tip about the flood spawning infinitely in that big pool with the Hunters. That makes this *_the_* easiest par time to make by far. Just 3 or 4 mins. throwing grenades (refilling thanks to popcorn flood & the Pinata Skull) and my base points were well over the requirement. The rest was easy because there was no pressure at all.
I used your trick with the pistol but found it is faster using just plasma granades, as you say they are endless, 12 killioners at once many times. Great vid.
I tried with legendary but got annoyed. Tried on normal, the points took forever to build from combos. Heroic was the perfect balance since its the canon difficulty
I was thinking about doing the flood bump with a ton of skulls and just get kills on the way out I’ve noticed some areas the spec ops elites can spawn infinitely

How the fuck did you do LASO in all games? Fuck that man it's practically impossible for me. I'd be happy if I got every achievement bar the LASO ones.
For those of the future, maybe consider normal or easy. The carrier flood chain can get you all the points you need, but surviving the jump down after is hardly guaranteed (I spent about an hr on heroic getting 100k+ but could never survive to next checkpoint so gave up). Just a thought
People said Two Betrayals were hard, this map is a shit ton harder to get the score on, imo. But I didn´t know about the exploit so I might try that. Edit: Restarted and ended with 40k at 29 minutes, I killed carriers until I had 30k and then I left. Such a hard mission on legendary.
Watching this again, I find that there's no need to look for Pistol ammo near the beginning because there are loaded Pistols right by where the Carrier forms spawn inside the coolant. Great guide, though!
@@sidewinder1176 Right next to the sniper rifle and the health pack in front of the pool of coolant where you have to drop, there's a fully loaded Pistol. At 5:49, Silver picks it up.
This also works on MCC for PC, but interestingly enough after reloading my last check point a couple times (because i died for an exploding flood carrier) my point counter would only count 0 points for anything I kill, so don't restart too many times. Also, I went for about 25k points since it seems like whenever I beam back into the ship I don't get points anymore for any kills. I used boom skull and pinata skull for my run through. I thought about grunt funeral but that would just be too much in the cramped hallways on the ship.
Years later and I still hate how these videos are formatted. You should always specify difficulty and skulls at the very beginning when you say the mission name and what the par score is.
Not entirely sure why you use the pistol, you can also throw plasma nades you get from meleeing popcorn flood that come up. Having a minute+ chain of kills from one Kendra (carrier form) flood is kind of absurd/hilarious
Par score time multiplier makes sense once u think about it.. imagine if John wick was in the kitchen of a restaurant trying to get an angle on one guy for 27 minutes lmao.
This level is fun and all but it's kind of baffling still story wise to think the Covenant would sink probably unknown thousands to repair an obvious lost cause instead of just bombing it to shit and flying off
halo has never had a well-written story, it just presents its stories in grand ways and that's why people have loved them. Not a single halo game has a well-written story lol

And then you jump down and instantly die after 10min of killing to lose the pts you just built up cause you didnt get checkpoint
