Watched this. I am baffled as to why the Committee doesn't have a translator (to Fukien or Mandarin) on standby. That would be very useful and bring more clarity to their investigation. Translator can be used every now and then when people like Sheila Guo cannot completely understand the question. I hope the Committee uses one from this point forward.

On point. It is purely "common sense". However, I also totally understand the point of the Senate Hearing Committee members for these POGO activities, that the presence of a Translator may drag the time of the Hearing all the more, very time consuming indeed. Plus, I think their mind set is to let the Sources/Guests answer in the language which they claim, they are familiar with, in this case, "Tagalog".
I think 1 way to know the truth is to have a clear communication between the two parties. She CLEARLY needs a translator.

Actually, the senators are doing a BAD job. They already have this projected narrative and pushes the interogation with that: that they escaped via airplane instead of what Sheila stated. Sheila is NOT lying. Yes, she did conceal some of her answers but mostly everything she'd answer was genuinely detailed. She answered right away without thinking her words, which is a tell tale sign of honesty. It's funny seeing these netizens supposing that she's a conniving liar and is just acting innocent like they've studied psychology or something. Sheila is just naive...
