    Paddu or Appe or Paniyaram are bite sized dumplings, made in Paddu Pan or Paniyaram Pan. These are non-fried low in oil and healthy snacks that can be made sweet or savory. Today, I am going to share the savory version.
    Making Traditionally Paddu need a bit of pre-preparation(fermented batter of lentil and rice) or leftover Idli/Dosa Batter. But these Instant Paddu can be made without any soaking, grinding and fermentation. It takes not more than 30 mins. to make these delicious bites.
    As we are using oats. That's why it's not only tasty but also healthy for us.

    INGREDIENTS :~
    ○ 1 Cup Rolled Oats ,
    ○ ½ Cup Semolina/Sooji/Rava ,
    ○ ½ Cup Plain Yogurt/Curd ,
    ○ 1 Cup Grated Carrot ,
    ○ 2 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves/Cilantro ,
    ○ 1 inch Small Ginger Piece ,
    ○ 4-5 Curry Leaves ,
    ○ Salt to taste ,
    ○ 1 & ½ Cup Water ,
    ○ 2 tsp Oil
    For Coconut Chutney :-
    ○ 1 cup Chopped Coconut ,
    ○ Some Coriander Leaves/Cilantro ,
    ○ 1 inch Small Ginger Piece ,
    ○ 2 Green chillies ,
    ○ 1tsp of Lemon juice ,
    ○ 2 tbsp of Chana dal ,
    ○ Salt to taste ,
    ○ ¼ Cup Water.
    INSTRUCTIONS :~
    □ Firstly, in a blender jar take 1 cup of oats & ½ cup of rava,make a fine powder.
    □ Then transfer it to a large bowl,now add ½ cup of curd with 1 cup of water . Mix well & keep aside for 10 -15 mins.
    □ In the meantime let's prepare the coconut Chutney.
    □ Take a blender jar, now add fresh chopped Coconut, then add ginger , green chillies , some coriander leaves, lemon juice, salt as per taste , chana dal & some water. If needed, you can add some more water. And make a fine paste. Now transfer it to a bowl.
    □ For Tempering coconut chutney, take a tadka pan with some black mustard seeds ,some curry leaves , red chillies & some oil.
    □ After heating it, pour it into the bowl of coconut chutney. Mix well & keep aside.
    □ Now it's been 15 minutes already. After resting the batter well. And our rava also has soaked well.
    □ Now add 1 grated carrot, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves, few curry leaves and salt as per taste. Mix well making sure everything is well combined & there is no lumps present. Mix gently forming a frothy batter.
    □ Heat the paddu pan and add oil to each mould.
    Once the pan is hot enough, add in prepared oats rava batter.
    □ Cover and simmer for 4- 5 minutes.
    Roast on low to medium flame until the appe turns golden brown. Flip over and cook both sides.
    □ Finally, enjoy oats rava paddu / paniyaram recipe tastes great with coconut & coriander chutney.
