We've done 3 B2B cruises and have 2 more scheduled. If you want to experience having the ship to yourself for a while choose a smaller older ship. More people gravitate towards the newer larger ships so there are more B2Bers on those. It took us forever to get back on the ship when we did 3 weeks on the Carnival Celebration. By the time we got back on they were already loaded on the new cruisers.
We just got back about a week ago from our first back-to-back (7- days each) on the Discovery Princess. Written instructions were dropped off in our cabin 2 days before the "in transit" day. Also, the day before, they had a really quick meeting that was a summary of what happens and what happens to your account. They were really good. On turn around day, we met in the theatre, waited about 20 minutes for everyone to show up and for the ship to be cleared of the rest of the passengers. We then were led off the ship, scanned by customs, walked around the outside of the building then back in the terminal with "special in-transit" seating. Sat there for about 15 minutes then were escorted back on to the ship. The whole thing took about 45 minutes. Ship was nice and quiet. We kept the same cabin and I checked to make sure we had the same steward. We have another back-to-back coming up in February. However, this is for 29 days starting in Florida and ending up in Los Angeles. There is something so relaxing knowing that you have more time to check out the ship and all it has to offer. Highly recommend that if you can, do it! Thanks for sharing!!
I have a few back to back cruises booked. I have done one before because I like to combine them to make a long cruise, but sometimes the ones that are 20-30 nights end up going to places where I don't want to go and then I have to fly back from a country I don't want to be in. Anyway, I really like them!
@@CruiseSeakers Ain't that the truth. I've been looking at a 29 night cruise from Barcelona to CapeTown, but there's only 2 ports that would be worth seeing and the cost of the cruise is $6000. So, I wouldn't even feel I got my money's worth :(
I am doing a b2b this week with MSC. The itinerary is the same on both but both sailings are three nights on one and four nights on the other so I don't think we will get bored. Excited to give it a try-
We're going on our first B2B in October for our 50th high school reunion. We've been wondering how it works. Thank you for this, video was informative!
We just booked our first back to back cruise on msc seascape for next year. We fly from denmark to miami so a one week cruise is just a bit short for the long flight 😊
My wife and I are kind of doing a back to back cruise. We are heading out on the Celebrity Equinox October 14th for a 8 day southern Caribbean ABC islands for our 30th wedding anniversary in a A-1 Aqua class mid ship deck 11 cabin and i just locked up today actually a 10 day Caribbean cruise on Oceania Vista a new ship in a PH1 Penthouse Suite on Deck 11 mid ship leaving on December 30th thru January 9th. So Celebrity for 8 days in mid October then a little over 2 months later a 10 day end of December to ring in 2024 and early January. This is my first time doing this but i know completely paying the first cruise completely off allows me over the next 6 months to pay the December cruise in full as well. This will be our first time doing major traveling since my Tramatic brain injuries 5 yrs ago. Very exited to get back to living a full life! # Grateful # Blessed.
I got a back to back to back booked for next year on the Carnival Vista for a total of 22 days. Normally I wouldn't do that but each of the 3 itineraries was unique and different. What happens if I decide I wanna buy some alcohol while in a port or in the duty free shop onboard? Normally they would give it to you on the last day of your cruise but if I'm boarding again then what?
When hading in let them know you are a back to back cruiser so it does not show up on the last night. But that might be a good thing. I never purchase alcohol in port and bring on ship. I have to fly to my port usually. So I’m always afraid of breakage.
I'm glad I watched this video. I thought if an upgrade was offered, it would be for both portions of the cruise. I booked a B2B on the Carnival Celebration. Multiple people told me it was impossible to do everything in 7 days on that ship.
We have the first cruise Dec 22 to Dec 26, 2025 on NCL Getaway booked but we're planning to do the following two cruises from Dec 26, 2025 to Jan 2, 2026, same cabin all three cruises.
Thank you for posting this helpful information. Question. If we purchase ship board duty free liquor on the first leg, will it be delivered at the end of the first leg or the second? Thanks in advance.
Is there one cruise line that makes it easier to do back to back than others? I’ll be in Europe in August, and looking for a cruise. Viking was ridiculously expensive- almost $800 A DAY!
You can’t take your money with you when you leave this earth. So I like to spend it cruising. B2B can be nice when a ship splits itineraries. And you get no duplicate stops.

Wow. That should not have been done if you ask me. You have to cater to your best clients. And B2B cruisers should be a priority like suite guests.

Thanks for sharing!! What a wonderful post!
We have a back to back coming up on Utopia! We’ve cruised but never done a back to back. I’m so excited 🎉
You are gonna love it. You will feel like you are kings and queens embarking a second time in a row!
Planning a back-to-back cruise in January’26. Six cruises in a row for 8weeks. We’re vey excited. 🤗
Amazing! Enjoy your cruise

Long cruise’s definitely can have some ports that are not on your need to visit list.

That’s so awesome that you are getting back to that full life state! Enjoy those cruises!

For me the biggest advantage is higher enjoyment to inconvenience ratio when considering embarkation, unpacking, packing and all that.
That’s a really good point. So much time waisted in those aspects.

Back to Back to Back is better than just back to back!!!
@ We normally do 7 days in March. When I saw the prices, I couldn’t pass it up
First B2B in January 2025. Excited!!
Awesome! Enjoy!
Thank you for posting this helpful information. Question. If we purchase ship board duty free liquor on the first leg, will it be delivered at the end of the first leg or the second? Thanks in advance.
The end of the second leg. Just let the people at the ship's shop that you are on a Back 2 Back.
Great. Thank you.
Heading out May 25, Carnival panorama first time back to back going six weeks and one day don’t know how it works. Better figure it out.
Enjoy your cruise!!!

They all do a reasonable job. Each has their own quirk that some love and some prefer a different way. Viking is a lux line so they are pricy.
What is the best cruise line for back to back cruises for a solo traveler during the months of May and June for 2025
That answer can change from month to month and the itinerary you are looking for.
I would prefer a S2S cruise than a B2B one😊
Side to sides are nice too!!!
Does anyone on B2B in different rooms ever get their luggage lost?
I have never seen that happen yet. But the operative word here is yet. Lol
@@CruiseSeakers thanks!
@@CruiseSeakers the one time that we changed cabins I had everything tagged. will not change cabins again.
