If you have only one work front and then resource levelling is not required. Now, if you have 1 excavator who can do 30 cum/hr then in 8 hrs it will do avg 240 cum,and to complete 2000 cum it will take appx 8-9 days. you can set your duration for 9 days. When there will be another front you can set resource levelling to set the priority, if the excavator is still only one. Hope this helps.
