How to make a DC motor Speed Controller Circuit + PCB Design

  • In this project video I will show you how to make a DC motor Speed controller, which suits to any DC motor below 24VDC. Furthermore, this motor speed controller’s PCB was made using PCB Etching Techniques including all steps of making. I did several tests for this circuit using 775 motor, RS550 Motor and 12V DC motor from an old DVD player.
    To make this DC motor Speed Controller you need below materials:
    1) NE555 IC x1
    2) 8Pin IC Base for NE555
    3) 103 Ceramic Capacitor
    4) 104 Ceramic Capacitor
    5) 473 Ceramic Capacitor
    6) IN4148 x3
    7) 1K Ohm Resistors x3
    8) 10K Ohm Resistors x1
    9) IRFZ44N Transistor x1
    10) Transistor Heat Sink x1
    11) 50K Potentiometer x1
    12) Copper Board
    13) Banana Jack x2 (Red, Black)
    14) Printed Circuit on a Photopaper
    15) 1000uF 50V or 16V x1
    16) Quality Wires (10Amp)
    17) Potentiometer Knob x1
    18) LED Red 3V x1
    19) Johnson Electric RS-550 Motor 12-20V 17400RPM High Speed
    20) Johnson RS-775 DC Motor DC 12V 18500RPM High Speed
