Great move to make a quick trip there. Some really great shots! We left 2 days before the eruption, by coincidence, and missed it. Would return there any time. Such a beautiful place even if there is no erupting volcano.

That had to be the experience of a lifetime. I've always dreamed of seeing such a thing. Just don't know how you all were sure that the eruption wasn't going to get out of control and rain down on y'all like what happened to the touristers in New Zealand a year or so ago. Would be such a painful death or an even more painful life if you lived to make it. Watch the 60 Minutes Australia special on it.

Really just depends on weather conditions currently, the volcano is very active, but local officials keep people out where it's too dangerous.
