Luz's guilt has been a theme in the show ever since the start of season 2. and if we follow it threw season 3 we could see even more people die from her fault just to make her face that emotion again.
@@Starwarsfanboy0928 and even if she doesnt overcome with just willpower, she can at least manage it with the right support system and professional help. Everyone: Luz needs therapy. Me: Well, she did think it was a good idea to leave her mom, live in the Demon Realm and learn to become a witch even before she had any idea if that was even possible.
On the bright side, her fantasy goal gave her a supportive found family that kept her safe in their own way, a group of friends that accepted her for who she is, warts and all, and even an understanding girlfriend. All things the human world denied to her for several years because it is full of envious, eternally unsatysfied with their dull, pathetic life jerks who pressure "diamonds in the rough" souls for their own sick kicks. Was she selfish in her decision to stay in The Demon Realm? Absolutely. Was she deserving of trauma for her choice? Bullishit!
The society around her made her a pariah for being a little different, pushing her to the extremes of using fireworks displays to gain approval, and they gave her an ultimatum in response: "Go to a conversion camp so you can 'fit in' or be expelled and have no chance of a good future in our society"
@@quincyconnors9391 They’re such hypocrites. No matter how much they deny it, they are always “a little different” to others. But at least some of those “others” don’t bother people with insane expectations, violence, mind games and empty promises. I certainly don’t blame Luz for having a very low opinion about humans. The mere fact that she would rather stay in a world where “everything will kill you if you’re not careful”, but you can always count on someone who sees you as one of their own without questions nor insane expectations, speaks in volumes how safe but painfully repressive world is hers.
Why do I have this idea? I wondered if the Collector has an awesome final form by the end of the series. Revealing that he played the act of a little kid to hide his true potential. At some point during a final battle between him and Luz, his attacks aren’t physical, they’re verbal instead. He would play on her guilt and self-loathing, and he doesn’t stop. Eventually, it would escalate to a line such as, “You’re a *mistake!* And if all of this proved anything, you always *have been!* You don’t have a place in this world, *nor* the demon realm. Not when you were born, not when you ran away, not when you made your impression on everyone around you. … Go ahead, say it. You *want* me to kill you. Because, heh. *You know everything I said is correct!* “ Afterwards, this would all cause Luz to curl up into a ball, and sob, with the Collector smiling, about to strike a final blow. That is, until her friends and family arrive. Through them, Luz would gain a new lease on life, and realize that she’s not a mistake, and she never has been. In the end, she would stand up to the Collector and defeat him, forever! But, that’s just my idea. What’s yours?
I would love to see another somber edit like this for her character. Luz’s anguish is so brilliantly written and handled. It’s so poignant and relatable. Her arc cuts deep.
Korra and Steven universe aren't made by the same company. And they had a way around it (in my opinion): Korra was healed fast with only some signs of relapse here and there while Steven universe showed his pain in the final episodes.

It would be amazing if the series could end with Mabel giving her therapy
Or Marcy
Why Mabel? Sasha literally works as a therapist

At this rate, if she doesn't get help soon, her journey will end the way Beta Luz's began.
