40mm Bofors didn't have Proximity fuses until the late 1970s when Ford Aerospace developed them for the Sergeant York SPAA. The smallest round that could have a Prox fuse was the 3 inch shells. Time fused shells were possible however which would be reasonable
I remember the first SuperTesting Alaska! American rail guns with devastating power were the perfect counter to the well-known OP Soviet cruisers, a great brawler and incredibly tanky! Sadly the current version is a very, very, very seriously very diluted version of the original American Kraken!
I’ve won 3 on 1 fights against battleships in the Alaska. It is good versus battleships. It is good in any fight except when you’re being focus fired by many enemies, that’s when you have no chance.
The Alaska is probably the most focused ship in Naval right now, if you spawn in the collective mind of the enemy activates and you are getting pinnpointed by a Scharnhorst, a Bayern and a Kongo. Well, a Tipp from me is that you spawn like 3-4 seconds after the start so their Targeting Computer targets a other ship and even if they change their mind and target you, in the time they calibrate the distance you can get one or two shots of, depending on what ship. The Alaska is definetively not that horribel like Sako depiced it. Most Naval players play a the Naval mode like an Arcadie playground, where you can go guns blazing and piss three battelship off at once when you are in you little light cruiser. Then when they fucking meltet by HE Shells they go cry. It doesn't work like that. You have to pick your fight carefully and don't overastimate your ship!
@Sako Sniper would you rather have them do Naval with just finishing up WW2 ships and end with Yamato, Iowa, and Vanguard or go into modern stuff like the Belknap class, Kidd class, Type 82 class and other? Personally I would rather see more modern stuff if possible. The navys after after ww2 is really forgotten about and is rarely seen in popular media. I would love to see a game with DDGs fighting, but if they have both modern ships with BB i would think that BBs would go the way of the Maus (expect for 1980's Iowa class due to the CWIS, sea sparrows and tomahawks)
i know im late but i think the should end on ww2 battleships and have a seperate tree for missile ships and subs. the could also add paper ships like the uss Montana or hms lion.
You know how I can tell you don't play naval? You thought that APBC was useful and that the 5"/38 wasn't useful against ships. My guy, literally nothing but HE matters right now. Unless you're in the Cleveland, Helena, or Brooklyn, nobody's guns fire fast enough to roll RNG enough times to cause a detonation with APBC.
Lol Ben Shapiro 's sister in the thumbnail... ...literally the best part of Ben Shapiro... And I'd "Consider" myself on the "Right". He's not as bad as Nick Fuentes.

Unfortunately, it has to yield to silly things like history and physics, unlike the Russian ships.

Just got Alaska, have had it for an hr and still haven’t played it in a nrb, queued 15 min then canceled and requeued 4 times already. This sucks
I know that struggle I use the renown man takes so long to find a lobby

Arnt the guns good enough to deal with battleships?
Is the alaska's radar surface search radar or is it only for air search radar?
In-game it's air search and track only
