1:25 this one moment has got to be one of my most epic moments of my childhood, where the song peaks perfectly in sync with pulling off the hardest combo in the game, colombo jumping out to dance with you and the candy bars spewing candy everywhere. As a kid i was just WOOOOWWW!!!
That's right. That song was performed when she was 11 years old. That was one of her very very first recordings. You can also check the latest vid from my channel if you want to know more about the uncredited artists.
Oh wow that's insane. I remember first listening to her MV that was featured on Anime Network on Demand back when i was in high school. This ups this jam to 10000 quality points
my mom still asks me till this day how do i remember this game.. she doesn’t even remember but she remembers this song instantly. happy moment of ours.
Lyrics: “Anything is fine with me, if I'm with my EZ-Mouse. Doesn't matter how young I am, havin' fun is what it's all about. Over the rainbow and seven seas, wherever winds may blow, Stop to eat in a Wonderland, after dessert let's go. My mama tells me everyday, not to move so fast across the room. She's worried I'll break something, but I'm at the age where I do what I wanna do. I know I'm your baby, like you keep saying. I wanna be free. Don't treat me like a child. I'm never changin' as I grow older. You're ever the same, Shorty and the EZ-Mouse. My mama tells me everyday, not to move so fast across the room. She's worried I'll break something, but I'm at the age where I do what I wanna. I know I'm her baby, like she keeps saying. I wanna be free. Don't treat me like a child. Cause I'm never changin' as I grow older. You're ever the same, me and the EZ. I know I'm her baby, like she keeps saying. I wanna be free. Don't treat me like a child. I'm never changin' as I grow older. Ever the same, Shorty and the EZ-Mouse.
This is probably my favorite track, along with Natural Playboy, Kitty N's song, and Frida's song. I really like how they reference the in-game world they made in this track, talking about stopping at some fictional place to eat that is still consistent with the game itself. Kinda fire.
the nostalgia i have!!! i played this game with my brother when i was younger :) he was born in '99, and i was born in '03 so neither one of us were alive when it actually came out but we played this game everyday as kids
This is my FIRST GAME i played in PS1, i remember we have this ps1 rentals in our neighbour im just 8yrs old then . I save my school allowance and wait for the weekend and go to the rental and wait for my turn to use the console . I really miss the good old days :)
bust a groove is one of the greatest games in the history of ps1 its just awesome man and i love this song and i like heat and hiro's theme too oh! and gas-o's too!! im saying that this game is one of the ultimate games although its history its .still warms the hearts of people who play it . .
Depends. I think the localisation literally tried to make it on the western taste's. Compared back then, people now prefer original dubs. Also, localisation dubs back then were better. Current ones are rare and mostly suck. They usually don't have emotions or are too stiff. It's like they're not giving their all.
I'm sitting here making a Stepmania/DDR stepchart pack for the Bust a Groove soundtrack. BaG has one of the best rhythm game soundtracks I've ever heard, and I can't NOT keep it alive at the arcades. I can't wait to finish these and put them on the ITG machine.
Why they're scared of DDR though? Both are awesome and have their own taste.. what DDR doesn't have compared to this game is the fighting mode style, unique initial style dance per character, and also Background story of every each char

definitely. I know the feeling scrubby. that's my beast mode moments of my childhood
Me too :)
OMG!!! YES You just know you hit the FEVER TIME after that happens
Only happens if I'm with my EZ mouse. ;)
YESSSS!!!!
* whispers * 1, 2, 3, circle

1 2 3 yeah. 1 2 up yeah. 1 up up yeah. upup downdown 3 yeah. updownleftrightupdown FUCK.
Down down down circle
That’s some high scoring moves
50 % ritm really?
This is apparently sung by Crystal Kay one of the biggest Jpop artists of the 2000s.
💯

You don’t say.
Did anyone else have an impulse at the end of the song to just say "You Win!~" lol
MORE RHYTHM
more like hearing the random announcer dude randomly distributed (well at similar locations) throughout the song.
@@MrRobsworld6 😂😂😂 been there
At the beginning "Time to look cute huh?"
me too lmao
I LOVE THIS GIRL'S VOICE SO MUCH !
^ _ ^
That's Crystal Key

Kitty n ,Natural playboy, And this song THE BEST IN MY OPINION
That belly belly good song too
I STILL play this game! And I ALWAYS use Shorty!
I got mine from Amazon in Mint condition with case book and not a scratch on the disc. :D
My sister always used to play shorty and I would play Gas-O
You play this game yet? (Please say yes, say yes...)
I play this game until now, 2020. The japanese version called Bust a move 1 and 2.
Japanese or English
You still playing it here 8 years into the future?
In my teenage years i heard this song probably 1000 times and never tired of it. EZ Mouse helped
The most catchiest song in the game.
my childhood i want to cry !
my mom still asks me till this day how do i remember this game.. she doesn’t even remember but she remembers this song instantly. happy moment of ours.
i’m back … still here. idc. this song has memories

After 25 years I still know the lyrics. This is my childhood.
I feel nostalgic, I used to hear this song a lot during childhood coz I always play bust a groove!
the nostalgia i have!!! i played this game with my brother when i was younger :) he was born in '99, and i was born in '03 so neither one of us were alive when it actually came out but we played this game everyday as kids
2023 still grooving to this soundtrack
"You win!"
Shorty: Yata!
Where is the fans of this game, with a brilliant Idea for a remake?
1:53 Reason why this version beats the Japanese version
Still better than most songs out there in 2018
Christopher Hernandez facts!!!!!
love love bust a groove since i was in grade school..and now i am a college student i still love it!

I feel nostalgic too...
I loved this song along with Kitty-N's one..
This song gave me diabetes.
You hear it once and it's in your head forever.

Gas-O
never played this game but this song is a banger
i love shorty! shes the easiest character i can play haha. such a cutie!
Her moves are dope af!!
Shorty's my fav :)
Loved it when the mouse started co-dancing
I wish someone would remaster this entire soundtrack
Ah yes, haven't heard this song since forever, thanks for uploading
I used to try dress up as Shorty - Dungarees, a stripy top and I'd put my hamster in the front pocket like she did...What a time to be alive!
*goosebumps effect & who cut onions?!?!*
I was on mushrooms when I played this for the first time. Profound ❤️
omg lol
One of my favorite games of all time!
Fantastic game and soundtrack, was the beginning of a whole new era in gaming
the english version totally rocks over the japanese version.
It definitely does. While the Japanese version sounds more childlike (which fits the song more), whoever sang the English version is legendary :)
I guess it's a matter of nostalgia. I played the JP version in my childhood and I prefer that version over this one.

@@FSenseii What recent anime's are you watching/games are you playing that have stiff/unemotional dubs?
LOL but in Bust A Move 2, its the other way around. Her Japanese theme is better than the English one
IF U LISTEN CLOSELY AT 0:06 . IT SAYS "WHAT A WONDERFUL MUSIC"
Yep, Hideki Naganuma used that same sample in the song 'Fly Like A Butterfly' for Jet Set Radio Future.
What kind of ears do u got?
I always thought that was an instrument! Good ear!
“Wild and wonderful music” to be exact!
I remember a place where suddenly, everything started bursting with candies.
HAHA Love this song! Hope they make a remake of bust-a-grooove on the newest consoles! :)
My fav track from my fav player, Shorty
gotta be the most joyous track in this OST
Shit is still fire
as much as i love japanese song,
but this english version deserve a full version. my favorite bust a groove song
Crystal Kay sounded GREAT!
NO WAY THIS VIDEO WAS PUBLISHED THE DAY OF MY BORN
I still love this song. I wish it was all on Apple Music.
I say FUCK JUST DANCE! I'd rather play Bust A Groove
Preach! Used to play Just Dance but it doesn't compare to Bust-A-Groove or Dance Dance Revolution.
The high score move there! 😁
This song speaks to me on every level. I'm 30 and still don't want to give my childhood up 😂 😂 😂
SAME! 😂
And now you are 34! Has anything changed?
It’s been 12 years and I managed to track down a real copy of the game and a working PS1 🎈
All I can hear is the "wild and wonderful" sample that was also used in jet set radio future's song "Fly like a Butterfly"
that sound of the guitar 🔥
Omgggg i can't believe this is crystal kay! ❤
i love that song!!!
This is perhaps my favourte in the whole game.
i love this song,!!! wow.
Favorite character of the game. They need to make a new game, with a story mode.
this is the best video game ever!
Down, down, down, circle for high scoring solo... you win!!!
I love when the mouse dances beside you. :))
I would argue that, each had both their amazing qualities. If you know the Japanese lyrics it can be related to as much as the English version can.
I like the English version better!
I still have them too! I was playing yesterday. :D
second best song in the game imo behind Kitty N
Used to love owning this game with shorty :D The baby blue and white skin was obscene in specials :D
After discovering this track through one of SiIvaGunner's high quality rips, I can confirm that it truly is a bop.
nostalgiaaa
most awesome game eva . .man i adore this game
i miss this game! shorty!!
@ejdj247
it's called Dance Summit 2001. but it has nothing on the true Bust A Groove series.
Bust-a-Groove 3 was cancelled because they knew it couldn't compared to DDR. That fucking DDR craze was batshit insane.
I thought Dance Summit 2001 was Bust a Groove 3, that's what the wiki says anyway, and graphic style is similar.

LA MEJOR FOKIN SONG
esta versión la de capoera, y la de Kitty en son unas de las mejores
Deacuerdo
@ponqzii -- It's awesome if you get enough points to fever a stage as Shorty, too, and Columbo comes out and dances with her. That mouse can boogie!
until now i remember the dance move of Shorty on rounding camera solo move hahahaha!!
HOLY CRAP this song has bongos?! Why did I not notice this while I was actually playing the game?!
Thumbs up!!
Yeah every songs in this game are best.
This game is one of the few Jewels in PSx 1 :)
Da muita saudade do Playstation 1
This is definitely a song for shorties
I heard come on at the beginning after the lady says what a wonderful music it's quite hard to hear
is there a extended version and who is the singer
she sounds good
*_WEEEE!_*
2:12 Featuring classic Yoshi!
A lot of VG music is great :)
I really would like to touch up these lyrics a bit and do a new version of this.
Meg Turney little singing brought me here ❤
Some stores still sell them but anywhere you find it, BaG will probably be used.
This was in the 90s when shorty was 12. Is she married nowadays 2019?
lol, it'd be funny if they did a '30 years later' edition
By now I can picture her being a TV host for a kids education show like Sesame Street or something..and still short lol
i miss this game :)
How about the initial step when you are swaying back and forth
This slaps
Kids will never know about this game and it's so hard to find now
use an emulator
no to mention shorty has the shortest input for her high score move
did we ever figure out what an EZ mouse is?
"EZ" would mean that "takes it easy", you know? like chilling, being cool.
