I have worked as non acad JR in Emergency Med; Aiims Rishikesh. On d basis of shifts we get to work 6 hrs per day and 2 night duties followed by 48 hrs duty off making it 24 wrkng days in a month. It was a life changing decision, the exposure we get as a doctor is excellent. It’s a highly paid job. Anyone preparing wud definitely get plenty of time to read.

@ ABHISHEK A A Either non acad or acad, both of them get the same pay which is around 1 Lakh. Also to let you know 56400 is the basic pay. Then you also get 20-25% of NPA on the basic pay plus DA / TA/ HRA etc. The total is approximately 1 Lakh. Taxes won't be applicable if your annual income is ≤ 5 LPA. Also if taxes are applicable you can also file ITR (Form 16A) to get back most of it.

When you apply for AIIMS JRship, they ask if you had appeared for INICET, if yes then the rank (in the form). The people who have appeared get priority in the merit list that’s made by AIIMS.

In the last advertisement, in eligibility criteria , Point number 2 said : " Only those candidates who have passed MBBS/BDS (including Internship) not earlier than three (3) years before the start date of Junior Residency (Non-Academic) i.e. 31.12.2021 will be considered. It implies that those who have completed MBBS/BDS or equivalent course (including completion of residency) between 01.07.2018 to 30.06.2021 only will be considered."
