It may sound strange, but my favorite season is winter... although I love all of them for different reasons, but when I was a child, winter with its heavy snowfalls, lights on Christmas tree, the fire crackling in the stove, have always been full of magic for me.

I really enjoyed this episode. I’ve been making rosette cookies with my mother every Christmas since I was 4… 40 years now! Thank you also for your ode to the dandelion. They have always been one of my favorites. It has always saddened me when people kill them in their lawns, they are such a happy color!

Die Natur im Herbst zu beobachten, wie sie in einen Schlaf verfallen ist schön ja. Aber nichts ist so wundervoll, wie nach einer langanhaltenden Winterdepression zeitgleich mit der Natur wieder zum Leben zu erwachen, die ersten Vögel zu hören, sich über längere Tage zu freuen. Ich hab dafür jetzt schon keine Lust mehr auf den Sommer 😂

Bei dir wird's nie langweilig, ständig gibt's was Neues, wie z.B. diese leckeren Teigrosetten. Kannte ich nicht. Ich bin so ungeschickt, und würde mich sicherlich mehrmals am Arm verbrennen mit dem zischenden Oel. Die erste Maiwoche war ich in Düsseldorf im Asialaden und konnte dort endlich mal wieder Chayote kaufen. Werde sie nun versuchen zu kultivieren, mal gucken ob es klappt. Wir fahren übrigens öfters an deinem Haus vorbei, z.B. erst gestern wieder auf dem Weg in ein Restaurant hier in der Nähe und immer denke ich 'vielleicht sehe ich sie ja' haha. Bisher hatte ich wohl kein Glück. Mai ist vielleicht sogar mein Lieblingsmonat. Am Monatsende steht bei uns noch eine größere Reise an.Danke wieder einmal für die schönen Aufnahmen!
Bitte, was macht man mit den Chayote?
@@Stoffmonster467 es gibt auf RUclips zig Videos zur Chayote, auch in Englisch und Spanisch, dann mit Untertiteln. Sie kann beispielsweise roh oder gekocht wie eine Zucchini oder ein Kohlrabi zubereitet werden. Ich mache heute einen Salat daraus.

In India, we call it rose cookies. It is prepared during Christmas time. Kids love it.
Chinese people also eat that fried thing the persians eat during chinese new year. But we put sugar in the batter to make it sweet instead of putting powdered sugar, and ours is smaller in size 😊 it is one of my favourite snacks!
