@@mototop_ Well, i'm happy that i got an R1100RS, i'm putting a R1150RS front fork, wheels, brake calipers and a part from a R1150 Rockster, also a part from a R1100R to be able to hold the "new" rear brake caliper rather the "huge" K100 style rear brake caliper. it's a low mileage example for it's age. i might consider R1100S pistons to extract 5 more hp from it. I'm looking forward to the day it's fully assembled, the parts just returned from painting it all BMW Avus black. I saw the R1250 for around 23.000€ at the dealer, that's alot of doe.
@@mototop_ i watched at the R18's at the dealer, the price can vary alot, strangely the ones that look like a Harley Davidson with a "windshield", TFT screen and so are much cheaper than a "naked" R18, there are special optional parts on those, from a distance you wouldn't discover these parts, but yet they can be some 6000/7000€ more expensive than a version with windshield, tft screen. Thnx, it took alot of time watching the BMW parts catalog to figur out that the R1100RS and the R1150RS are much the same, accept for wiring loom, ECU, gearbox, rear frame, hand controls. The R1100RS in it's last 2 years of production received a new engine. but both, the R1100RS and R1150 use the same connecting rods and the pin through the piston, as the camshaft, valve rockers. valve train chains and sprockets. final drive (without ABS). I only needed a different wheel spacer to fit the rear wheel. I restored the swing arm, rather than picking the newer R1150 swing arm and looks much better glossy black than original Artic silver. The R1100RS got many upgrades during it's 8 year life cycle, there are 4 cyl head designs.
@@mototop_ They're more reliable than most MotoTop, as you and us that own them know😉 Had it been a KTM it'd have broken down before the test was over due to electrical faults caused by vibes (exaggeration but they're known for electronic gremlins).
BMW lineup is so confusing.. why do they have F900XR, S1000XR, R1250RS at the same time.... They all are catered toward touring. Customers Get confused.
F,S,R - type of engine: S inline four cylinders. R boxer engine, F one or two cylinder inline (if I good remember F). Numbers are a cylinder displacement. R,S,RS, GS - type of chassis. GS - gelande sport. Etc.etc . It simple and easy if you know ;)
If you like it: please give thumbs up, leave a comment and subscribe :)
muy bueno, no pensé que iba a llegar a la velocidad tope del velocimetro

it's a different kind of engine and power and different costs. Some love the Boxer-engine, some love 4cylinders, some love 2cylinders.....
@@mototop_ I love boxers ... a lot more torque at low rpm. better for every day commuting.
