I was stunned at how few apps came on this phone lol If it didn't have a pink wallpaper, you wouldn't even know it was a carrier phone. I remember AT&T cluttering phones years ago with all sorts of garbage apps - even the boot screen was branded
I mean, I really miss HTC. Like, really miss them. I spent pretty good money on HTC's and used them for years. My current phone, which I am still using but looking to finally upgrade from, is the Revvl 5g, which I obtained as part of T-Mobile's push to convert users to their 5G network about 3.5 years ago. Ngl, the phone has been a surprisingly good experience-especially at its price point-with a battery that has consistently lasted 2-4 days depending on usage, even to this day. The screen brightness, or lack thereof, is mad annoying, but pretty much everything else has been stable with good performance. Mind you, most of what I do on my phone is surfing, texting, GPS, staying connected to work email, etc, and using it as my MP3 player. Having said that, unless you're "hardcore gaming" on your phone, which… eh, it's an effing phone, I do that on my gaming rig/PC, I honestly can't see how this unit would not suffice, especially considering how clean the OS is. My 5g is responsive and quick, which is pretty much all I could ask for considering how I use the phone. Well, I could ask for a better, brighter display, one where you didn't have to turn it up to 60-70% to be viable, but the rest is more than acceptable. Seeing that this 7g is newer, with a bigger battery and better processor to boot, where is the fault to be found? Again, at this price-point. I'm seriously considering copping this one in lieu of spending a lot of money on a phone. Spending 1k+ outright or adding $35 more to my monthly plan seems somewhat silly and not sure how it behooves me or anyone else, especially considering how fungible handsets are these days. I dunno… we’ll see. However, after watching this review, the words "utter trash" or "garbage" never came to mind. Thanks for the review; I enjoyed it and it was informative.👌🍺
"OEM Touch" is an interesting comment you made on devices. I think of my Windows 11 laptop with a 360 degree and touch screen. I use that as a tablet half the time and a laptop the other half. The "OEM Touch" on my laptop was done by Asus. Thanks for the tech review.

@@TechDaily I'd like you to run a test to see if this one also has the same glitch I am very curious try to use the Wi-Fi hotspot for an extended period of time and see if it doesn't just randomly shut itself off on you even after set to never turn off
I had the 6 and i will say that the closest thing i can conpare it to is an old Nokia, my screen was pretty severely cracked with a whole chip missing out of over the camera but no LCD deformation as for dust i work in HVAC and if theres a tight corner in a unit id use it as a light and i never really had an issue with it and for water i fell into a lake with the phone in my pocket chips cracks and all and it just kept on truckin it finally died when an electric motor fell on it but overall in my opinion for someone whos a little less careful about tech or uses it as a glorified flashlight or a hammer the revvl hasnt let me down
Many of your negatives aren't. No phone should have monthly "updates". And the lack of preinstalled bloat apps is a good thing. With every company wanting us to install their apps, having that extra space is a good thing. Plus, it's not a basic android install that bogs down a phone....its all that preinstalled junk. It would be great if a new phone gave us the option for a basic install of android.
I just got mine and I don't like that it seems hard to set up, I can't keep it on the brightness level I select, I can find the back button and can't figure out how to navigate screens or find out how to change how large the time display is. Before that was in widgets but I can't find them on this phone
Nah not really. Google Pixel's user experience is very streamlined and tailored with a lot of Google-specific tweaks and features. This just feels...bare?
Are we sure these phones aren't made by Lenovo or Motorola. They look exactly like Moto G phones besides the camera on the back with the exact same button speakers and microphone placement. These look like they combined Motorola phones from 2021 and 2022 to come up with a new design.
I had a 6 pro overall decent device but there's some terrible software glitches I experienced the same one with the regular non-pro version couldn't download pictures in the Wi-Fi hotspot settings didn't actually work it was a Major Payne add to this day T-Mobile still doesn't recognize that it's an actual problem they just kept replacing my device with the same one..... Which of course never fixed it because they all come with the same factory flaw I've gone to several T-Mobile stores demonstrated it in the store handed it over to the people wiped my phones several times and eventually just gave up
Really interesting! Sorry you had such trouble. I think the software is a pretty big disadvantage with these phones - its literally just Android with not optimization and few updates, and I don't think T-Mobile / Wingtech do much to patch issues
@@TechDaily it's just that they don't really care they're a massive corporate conglomerate and they could give a fuck less if their product barely works as advertised
I have the same experience with the V+5g. Nothing can get the keyboard to work properly. And why is every iteration of a wingtech phone a DOWNgrade on its predecessor?

The fact that it has zero bloatware is fantastic. You can always download whatever else you need.

I got a REVVL for my kid and it wouldn't even handle the most basic of tasks without glitching out. eWaste is all it is.
Which REVVL did you have?
I don’t know if I get the phone revvl 7 5g 😮😮😊😊
Maybe more carriers should try this out.

For the brightness thing, you have to go to settings and change it
The V+ 5G Is the best one, the 6 sucks aess, but if u did drop it in water, the USB C Port Automatically Disables itself
Ok I'm definitely not doing a water proofing test then lol

5000 mAh
Bootloader unlock status?
Ah, yes Wingtech, makers of the Galaxy A22 5G and other certified E-Waste devices.
Wingtech does have an interesting history of cheap devices... 🤔

Those phones are just Motorolas with extra steps.
Pretty comparable to Motos in a lot of ways, but probably with more simple software for those who prefer it.
Can't they tone down the pink? 😂
I wouldn't waste my time with this junk.
A very fair assessment 😅
It's not pink, it's magenta, and T-Mobile owns the legal rights to the colour
