Hi mate, thank you so much for the kind feedback. Yeah it's a great tool, that I use often in my coaching. Without that, the Ping optimal spin chart has all the info you need (so long as you have AOA and ball speed numbers). Thanks again 👍
Great video. I was not familiar with the Ping chart. How do i reduce spin? Increase it? I have a launch monitor but dont understand all the relatonships.
Hi Bruce! Thank you for your kind feedback. To reduce spin, you need to reduce spin loft and speed. To increase spin, increase spin loft and increase speed. Gear effect will also play a part in spin rates as discussed in the video. I hope it helps 👍
Spin loft is the three-dimensional angle between the direction the club head is moving (both club path and attack angle) and the direction the club face is pointing (both face angle and dynamic loft)
Nobody was still playing persimmon woods in 1997 ( 27 years ago) . Callaways first titanium driver the Great Big Bertha launched in 1995 and the steel version was available years before that. I lost interest after that. We have enough internet influencers to last a lifetime.
Thanks for your comment, Derek. I was. They were my first woods, hand downs from my father, we didn’t have the money for the latest equipment. (I should have mentioned that in the video). You are right, my first proper driver my dad bought me once he saw how much I was enjoying golf was a £50 hippo titanium, followed by the callaway BIGGEST big Bertha driver a year or two later. I still love it on the rare occasion when a client comes in with one of these in their bags 🙌
Danny, great video mate. Haven’t seen anyone use that trackman feature before but it’s really insightful. Appreciate your knowledge mate 👊🏼😄

And I’m not an influencer. I’m a golf coach ⛳️
