We were down there for a couple of weeks a couple of weeks ago and made a point of checking out Celebration. It's beautiful. I thought it was funny that the only alligator we saw during our time there was on the bank of one of the ponds heading into town from the direction of what I'm assuming is the older Publix.
When I still lived in Bartow (hour away from Celebration, maybe less), we had the same ordeal: tourists wanting to come look at the houses (closer to Main Street. They would almost NEVER go where the majority of the people ACTUALLY lived, because the city doesn’t care for those areas… just it’s tourist trap section…). Any time there is a town / city even, a big section of the main gets closed off, as do several side streets. THAT area gets cleaned up well enough, but visitors DO end up throwing their trash on peoples personal properties… a LOT. Don’t even get me started on the streets down by the LB Brown House, they treat those streets like their personal trash cans and speed ways. 😑
I worked at the Celebration hospital for years back when it was still owned by Disney and I can tell you that it was much nicer and felt more like a community with a home town feel back then. After they sold it the new ownership started to really over develop it.
Brazilian celebrities bought properties there and that led to the visitation of numerous Brazilian tourists...its a beautiful place, don't get me wrong, but it became way too overrated and a "must do" tourist stop if you are traveling from Brazil. I-4 and "the bubble" also drove a lot of residents out of there from what I heard. Many people move to Orlando thinking that being close to the parks is a positive thing, until they live here for a year or so...Great video and thanks for sharing!
You missed the awesome news. Disney confirmed that they are getting 4 new massive land expansions at Disney world . Construction is is on its way. With 8 news rides plus a brand new night time parade.
@returntosophie even though they never mentioned it, I would assume that there would have a new parade or show in each of these 4 brand new lands right?? It would be silly for them not to.
@@jimschuster8166 I’ve been in Central Florida since 2001 and have been vacationing in San Diego for the last decade. It’s time for a change and I’m looking primarily in the Point Loma area. Windermere has grown so much over the past 23 years and it doesn’t feel like home anymore.

Your accent is quite interesting, it's like a bit of American mixed in on certain words you say. Thanks for the video! Very informative.

Loved the video, hope you don’t regret moving away 😮
thanks for watching 🥰🥰
I do find it strange why someone would want to live somewhere where you have to drive everywhere.

We are moving to Celebration next month from San Diego. We are originally from Long Island. Celebration is WAY nicer than Long Island.
I love San Diego and will be moving there from Windermere next year. Can’t imagine a more ideal place.
@@livingthedream923 What part of San Diego are you moving to? Why are you moving away from Windermere?
