A more literal translation for "aapse/aapko milkar khushi hui." (आपसे/आपको मिलकर खुशी हुई ।) is "I'm happy to meet you." or "I'm pleased to meet you", and you can use "aapse/aapko milkar achcha lagaa" (आपसे/आपको मिलकर अच्छा लगा ।) for "It's nice to meet you." Note that aapse/aapko (आपसे/आपको) is the formal version of 'you' and should be used as a form of respect. The less formal version of 'you', in the case of this sentence is tumse/tumko (तुमसे/तुमको) and an informal version is tujhse/tujhko (तुझसे/तुझको). But in general (not in the case of this sentence), the forms of 'you' are the following: aap (आप) - formal (used to address an elder, stranger, relatives or used as a form of respect.) tum (तुम) - less formal (used in an informal environment, among elder members in family, married friends, official environment among work colleagues etc.) tu (तू) - informal (used in an informal environment, close relationship and illiterate masses. It is also used to address God.) Hope you learned from the short lesson. Good luck on learning Hindi.

I am just starting to learn Hindi. I will also try to learn the writing. Good video. Will this series be a good start for me to become fluent? Would watching Hindi movies also help?
How about making videos for Sanskrit? Sanskrit is just as beautiful as Hindi. Also I would love to see some videos for Telugu and Malayalam. When it comes to beautiful languages India is home to the most beautiful languages in the world.
wow this is awesome. and i love to see such welcoming people of india in the comments. namasTe from USA!! im learning so much about your country and it is so beautiful!
***** Hello Roblox, How are you doing? I personally watched the video and Its correct in the video which says: Nice to meet you. BUT,If you will say I am happy to meet you will not be wrong just while saying in english will look a bit awkward. So, I personally suggest you to use," Nice to meet you." Thank you.
Learn Hindi with HindiPod101.com If you translate *Aapse milkar bahut kushi hui* word for word in English it actually translates as You meet very happy am, which makes no sense, it makes me wonder if Indo languages are really related to European languages, must be something about North Indian languages that have influenced by non indo-european languages, would be nice to let me know what you think.
+saeefa not everything is in the same order as in english. just like if your language was hindi, and you heard 'nice to meet you,' you may find it odd also.
Going to mumbai as a trainnee! cant wait i speak only punjabi at my home orgin i am pakistan i see some different in hindi and urdu but its easy thanks for your great videos!

I'm Bengali but I was born and raised in America and I learned Hindi in school here as my town has a lot of Indians so I could communicate with Indians in India who don't know Bengali but know Hindi. I enjoy speaking Hindi. I also know Hindi because it has a lot of words that mean the same in Bengali.
why is there no video like this again. I am pleased to learn Hindi but I am still learning Hindi. I am glad to have this video please made more videos like this because I better understand that this video
There are a few suggestions for how to learn Hindi Decide precisely why you want to speak it Try to use Hindi everyday Decide what process works for you the best. (I discovered about these and more on Presto speaker shortcut website )
If you are teaching hindi, at the risk of sounding a bit pedantic, please make sure to distinguish hindi and urdu words. This is also maybe a general comment to hindus to learn the difference and inculcate more of authenticity rather than confused language, confused culture and confused nation everwhere. Khushi is urdu prasannata is hindi. so using khushi can be called Hindustani at best but don't create confusion esp for new learners by calling it hindi !
Natsu Dragneel No it's because hindi and farsi belong to the indo-iranian sub group of indo-european language. So at one point of time persians and north indians spoke the same language.
Well.....All of the above is correct. But I think you all forgot to mention Urdu language. Urdu uses a lot of Persian words in their vocabulary and on the colloquial level, it is difficult to differentiate between colloquial Hindi and Urdu. Persian, Arabic and Turkish words came into the language during the reign of the Mughals as Natsu mentioned. The literary Hindi has more Sanskrit words. Please note that the Persian used in colloquial Hindi is more poetic than the Farsi language of today.
Urdu is an independent language which was made by mixing Hindi language with Persian language. Urdu means 'camp'. when Nader Shah (Afshar) set his forth in modern day pk there the hindi speaking indians and persian speaking iranians mingled and a thir language was creates. today urdu like persian has a lot of arabic words in it.
I am from INDIA 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳and i love INDIA then india is like culture INDIA is a very good contry👌❤❤❤ i am perfectly takl in English but i will practice talk to hindi i hope i defnetly learned hindi 😊😊😊😊😴😴😴
Hoohoopot Ahrebus he didn't say that hindi is the only language spoken in all those countries. BTW all the languages you mentioned are spoken in India.
Ankita Singh True that, but yeah pakistanis can understand hindi as urdu is almost the same and nepalis in urban areas can understand it upto some extent due to the huge influx of indian cinemas, soaps, serials etc.
Balachandran Palaniappan is Tamil Nadu a separate country never heard that ,😂😂 why you Tamil ppl hate Hindi so much I mean here in Andra Pradesh every one almost speaks hindi 😂
"Aapse milkar khushi hui" is more like "I'm happy to meet you" or even though its wrong in English grammar *"By meeting you happiness happened"*. Nice to meet you is "Aapse milkar achchha laga"

Sanskrit is almost an extinct language now just like Latin

Hello Roblox,
How are you doing? I personally watched the video and Its correct in the video which says: Nice to meet you. BUT,If you will say I am happy to meet you will not be wrong just while saying in english will look a bit awkward. So, I personally suggest you to use," Nice to meet you."
Thank you.
Since when is ROBLOX learning freaking Hindi? WTF IS HAPPENING.

Right bro 🙏

There are a few suggestions for how to learn Hindi
Decide precisely why you want to speak it
Try to use Hindi everyday
Decide what process works for you the best.
(I discovered about these and more on Presto speaker shortcut website )
I can across this video via Presto speaker shortcut - there's many great videos there that may help you
If you are teaching hindi, at the risk of sounding a bit pedantic, please make sure to distinguish hindi and urdu words. This is also maybe a general comment to hindus to learn the difference and inculcate more of authenticity rather than confused language, confused culture and confused nation everwhere.
Khushi is urdu
prasannata is hindi.
so using khushi can be called Hindustani at best but don't create confusion esp for new learners by calling it hindi !
namaste mera naam Alex hai. thanks prerna. I'm a British but I love hindi and india
There are so much similarities between Persian Language and Hindi!
Urdu means 'camp'. when Nader Shah (Afshar) set his forth in modern day pk there the hindi speaking indians and persian speaking iranians mingled and a thir language was creates. today urdu like persian has a lot of arabic words in it.
yes but just a few. urdu has more words borrowed from persian
Parviz Khorasani really?
I am from INDIA 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳and i love INDIA then india is like culture INDIA is a very good contry👌❤❤❤ i am perfectly takl in English but i will practice talk to hindi i hope i defnetly learned hindi 😊😊😊😊😴😴😴
hindi is spoken in lots of places like india, nepal, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh etc
+jagchiran Pakistan - urdu, not hindi; bangladesh : bengali, not hindi; afghanistan : pashto, not hindi; nepal : nepali, not hindi
Similarly in Tamil Nadu is Tamil.
