@Urbanfisho He had his hair like this at the same time as Robert Smith, Bananarama also sported the same hair style, I guess they are Robert Smith wannabes in your simple mind, ain't they?
You are wrong, wrong, wrong !! There are a lots of great bands putting out great music right now...just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they aren't here !!
@@Spacebird321 Unfortunately those bands likely contribute less and less to popular culture. Those that do appear less interesting, more predictable, in fact bands no longer dominate charts, it's all solo artists because on the whole are easier for record companies to handle and likely work out cheaper. And of course on the flip side anyone older, eg in their fifties will have nostalgia bias, having had their formative years shaped by bands of the time, recalling the times of their lives in the music, so it will always resonate and 'be better'. Quite rare for a young twenty something musician to have something to say to someone in their fifties, as such modern music no longer serves them, particularly in being a conduit for going out attracting the opposite sex for example.
Goodbye Terry, I hope in your final hours, you knew deep down just how much people loved and held dear what you created. You may not be with us any longer, but your music will go on for generations to come. In ten, twenty or a hundred years time (if humanity makes it that far), young people will discover your music for the first time again, so in some ways you'll never die. You played a big part in forming some important values that I still believe in today and I bet there's lots of people who can say the same.

Such a wonderful song. I wonder if he was thinking of his romance with Jane Wiedlin every time he sang this. I love his beautiful backup singer and drummer. Her gorgeous voice and harmonizing really adds to this.
My lips will never be sealed ,,,i will always tell the world what a very special person you and your band were ,, What utter joy you have given us xxlol Jane x RIP dear Terry xx You were much to young to pass x🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🥀🥀🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Always loved this. The persistent bouncing hypnotic bongos coupled with Terry’s deadpan. And the fact for years I thought the lyrics were “Alex the Seal”. RIP Terry x
so ahead of their time.....women playing all the instruments, blacks and whites playing beautiful music together, and such honest from the heart lyrics being sung by a man. It's hard to believe this was released 40 years ago. This band broke a lot of barriers and they weren't even trying. Rest easy Terry Hall...thk u for your contributions ❤️
After cutting my teeth on The Beatles, Free, Zeppelin etc in the late 60s/70's, I was in a permanently bad mood in the 80's. But there were still a few genuine originals. Terry Hall was one. I will miss him.
