I doubt you'll see this, but your videos have helped me out. Im currently going to an Anabaptist church (Mennonite) And i wanted to get your views on this particular Christian denomination . Hopefully there a future video of you discussing this topic. God Bless
Battle Belongs was the anthem of our struggle with one of our kids. After that struggle ended, we continue to pray to get her to come back to Jesus. God of Revival is the anthem for that. ❤🙏🏻 Thank you God and Phil for your music.
I do understand the struggle you are facing! We are praying our only daughter comes back to Jesus too! She is having issues with anxiety & depression, on meds etc. we fully believe that Jesus can heal her of it in His Name! Will be praying for your daughter also Stephanie! I’m going to start listening more to God of Revival when I pray! Would you kindly pray for my daughter as well? Thank you! God bless! ❤😊❤ Praying we will both see miracles happen in their lives!!@StepnanieBogart
His song Battle Belongs is a game changer for me. I was battling cancer in 2020-2021 and I couldn't take my chemo meds without playing this song. If i tried without it on I would become very sick and couldn't take them.
I’m a worship leader and when I see Phil Wickham I want to worship God even more. I can’t thank this man enough for inspiring me to walk with Jesus daily.
Hymn of Heaven helped me when my sister was dying. I was heartbroken. Her last words were: we will see each other in heaven. I cried the next weeks with that song but now I feal the joy when we join all the saints and loved ones in heaven. This song and the Word of God reminds me every day how beautiful eternity is going to be.
@@MegMetaverse same.. I felt the song when my dad was dying in front of me in the hospital. I’m sad that he’s no longer here with me on this earth, but I cannot wait till I see him in heaven. And this song gets me teary every time I listen to it. But it’s a good cry.
Literally just walked in the door from work and our 3 year old met me at the door strumming on his new guitar he got for Christmas. I said “sounds great buddy. What are you playing”. His answer ….”battle belongs”.
To Phil, Those love songs that you wrote to God are what drew me to your music. You weren’t just singing about God, you were singing to God. That’s what I loved about your songs. They have blessed me in so many ways through the years. This is amazing. Grace was my favorite song for quite a long time. I was fortunate to see you perform at an extraordinary women conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Not sure if I was on a spiritual high or a fan girl high that evening, but what a night! Thank you for doing all the hard work that God calls you to do for his glory. BTW, that song is still one of my top 10 faves.
I met Phil Wickham at a conference I was volunteering at and he was the sweetest person ever. We took a picture together, and I will always cherish that moment. I hope one day I can see him again.
Talking about misconceptions about Phil…I’m an older woman and the few times I saw him perform I assumed he was shallow. Yep…sorry. Now that I’ve heard this interview, I realize he runs much deeper and has a genuine love for the Lord. My son and DIL love Phil and now I’m on board too. Thanks for the interview.
Saw Phil Dec 2023 in Carrollton TX at a church. It was my first Christian concert since I’ve been saved. It was fabulous! His voice is the real deal. And so very happy to know that his beliefs are the real deal, too! ❤️
I remember praying when I heard Phil needed surgery on his vocal chords. I think God blessed him with an even more incredible voice range since the surgery and an amazing ability to continually put out AMAZING worship songs. I discovered Brandon Lake 3 years ago when I was visiting my daughter and went to seacoast church. I love the song Look Where Im Standing Now and am so happy you guys discovered each other living clear across the country from each other. God is definately using you two in a time when the younger generation needs you desperately. Also you bring joy to this 71 year OLD lady with your incredible songs. 🥰❤️🥰
My 6yo daughter is being drawn to the music that God uses Phil to sing. The other night she drifted off listening to the Battle Belongs with me. This interview is blessing me so much.
Thanks Ruslan for having this incredible singer songwriter on. My soul is warmly blessed every time I hear him sing. The most beautiful lyrics, ALL praises to the God of the universe.....using talent to bless people, but it's all to God's glory first. What a beautiful human being! You guys had an inspirational chat, much appreciated 🙌🏼🙏🏻👌🏼🇿🇦✨🎶🎵🎹🎤
Scarsity! A lot of us grew up this way but Jesus healed me and allowed me to enjoy the moments and blessings and not worrying about possible future scarcity. God is so good!❤
I am from a far away country, but I do encounter people going to your worship concerts almost on a daily basis thanks to the company I work for.I always say that I will never get the opportunity to be in one of your events but I am grateful because your worshipping songs literally saved me. Thank you, Phil Wickham Jesus sends for you when I was at the bottom.
Phil did an acoustic show years ago in Tucson AZ & I felt strongly that God was going to give Phil downloads. I shared that with him then & it’s so cool to hear it now!
My wife and i went to the summer worship nights in reading, Pa and it was the most memorable night of worship in our lives. Phil, you’re such an inspiration to so many. Our 3 year old son and 1 year old daughter love listening to your music. Battle belongs is literally their anthem.
Ruslan, I have felt the same way about Phil’s blessing of increase in his ministry for the Lord! I’ve watched him from the beginning & have been to one “Sing-a-long” worship nights & have been so blessed by not only his music but also by the humility of this guy! I know he’s not perfect but humility is so Godly & draws people in! With more responsibility comes more accountability & he handles it with so much grace!!
Battle Belongs song of you Sir. Phil was my favorite song and I sing it already at my church and I just realized that all the battles we face are not mine but for Jesus.
I really appreciated this episode. I remember going to a concert with Phil Wickham, Mack Brock, and Kim Walker-Smith. We paid for the extra session Q&A that was before the show and got to ask questions and it was so nice to see that Phil Wickham was basically the same person. You can tell he's a super nice and humble dude! Thanks for this interview 👌
I remember being so blessed by Paul when we were all locked up during the pandemic. He did a RUclips video with his little kids. They were dressed in their pajamas, with their hair all tosseled, looking like they just rolled out of bed, singing worship songs. It was so real and simple that it warmed my heart. I sat alone but couldn't have spent a better time. It was a beautiful moment.
First heard his song in and around 2007 (Cannons), still have it on mp3. Anointed then still anointed in the Lord today. Its been a blessing praising God and seeking him more and more through the messages in the songs. An indian who first heard about this guy in tanzania. God's grace continues to boggle my mind.
Hymn of Heaven is what I sang during my miscarriage. Blessed me so much. I also love love the song Where I’m Standing Now, such a testimony of where God has walked with me. I loved in the interview when you sang old school hymns and 90’s songs. I would love for you to do a little album of some of those nostalgic songs! ♥️🙌🏻 That would be lit 🔥
These are kinds of podcasts that everybody should hear, being involved in talking about Jesus and the journey in life in walking with God. Thank you Ruslan! God bless you with abundance 🙏🏻❤️
I love how phil is so comfortable in himself and seeing him being so raw and humble. I just love every thing about Phil Wickham. He is truly anointed by God. I hope and wish he does one on one with fans at his shows 🙏 love you guys!❤❤❤
I was at Catalyst night that he was supposed to lead worship. As a very young leader at the time, hearing his statement was FORMATIVE. To watch someone authentically wrestle out with his faith, and to learn from him was a gift - one the Lord used to guide me through my own seasons of wrestling through identity and worth later on (including my own polyp). You've been a blessing, Phil, thank you for staying faithful to the Lord all these years!
So glad I found this! Loved Phil since Amazing Grace, so glad to hear his maturity & desire to grow "in the Lord". Pray all who enjoy him recognize, beyond good music, Christianity is faith built upon "knowing" some things (or more SomeOne)& not feelings! There is NO substitute for Knowledge 📖 of God's Word Rightly Divided!!! Or you remain one of those he mentioned.
I am a new worship leader at my church and my first two songs to lead are House of the Lord and I Believe. One of our other worship leaders and me love Phil Wickham. I was blessed to lead Manger Throne for our Christmas Eve service.
@StephanieBogart I love Shane & Shane too! I left you a comment about praying for your daughter. My daughter needs to come back to Jesus too. I’ll be praying for your daughter, can you please pray for mine too? Thank you!! 🙏❤️🙏
Watching these interviews with Phil is always refreshing. He seems like such a humble man and his worship songs are amazing. His music always lifts my spirit when I need some motivation and uplifting. His book, On Our Knees, is also a very good book. God bless him and his family 🙏🏻
Phil you are such a genuine person with such love in you that everyone who watches you I your shows or online actually connects somehow with your songs and your personality and your worship of our Lord Jesus. Thank you for the music your produce that help so many believers and others. God bless you and those who help bring all your songs etc to the public😊❤
He’s so humble… Went to his concert this summer and oh my goodness what an uplifting moment that was…. All I can can remember at that time is how beautiful and glorious it’s going to be in heaven when all God’s children will be worshiping Him 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 i truly felt God’s presence thank you Phil for you obedience 🙏🏽🙌🏾
No way this is awesome! He came to my university back in September, and I absolutely love his music! It’s blessed me so much! So glad you got him on the channel :)
Our identity is child of God! Yes! That is what we proclaim. Our validation comes from pleasing our Father in Heaven! Beautiful journey, thank you for sharing.
Praise the Lord! The first time I saw Phil singing was back in 2009 at the Rock the Sound in NYC. May the Lord continue to bless you to bless you and your family Phil! 🙏🏻😊
I was at that Catalyst, newly married, first time pregnant, fired from my dream ministry job, and realizing those particular pastors were deeply morally bankrupt. That letter he wrote was the beginning of Jesus healing my grieving heart. It was a holy moment indeed, so thankful he was obedient to The Lord with that ❤
I loved this interview. The only thing I would suggest is changing the title bc you talked about a huge range of things. It was very encouraging to hear Phil’s story and how God has guided him in his life and career.
This was an awesome episode. Love both these guys. Phil’s songs have changed my life and almost every song I lead in church is one of his. It’s awesome to see what a down-to-earth, humble guy he is!
I love how Phil referred to his own melody to the lyrics"There's joy in the house of the Lord," as "cheesy," but was willing to release it to serve the kingdom and the brothers and sisters whom it would bless. That's what it's about.🙌
I have been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune disorders at the very young age of 32 almost two years ago, few months after my twins were born. I can't even say which one of your songs were "the song". Thank you jesus for the healing of Phil. I was privileged to see him perform X-mas worship 3 times this December! Manger Throne is so amazing live! NOBODY brings worship like Phil!
I love Phil so much! Your voice anointed your music has been such an amazing blessing! Praise God for you and our Lord using your humility and music to deepen our relationship with our Savior ❤
How God is using Phil mightly through his songs singing around the globe and millions of peoples blessed and inspired his voice singing. Most of the time I listen the Phil's songs which inspires me to walk the presence of God. I am from Nepa and thank brother Ruslan.
Phil Wickham you are a great worshiper with such a. humble heart. God has blessed you with such a beautiful gift and it’s so special that you share it, for his glory for the rest of us to enjoy. I listen to your music daily. 🙌🙌🙌
This was a very refreshing episode and it's great to know that not all Gospel artists are out of touch with real life, families and their local church, I haven't listened to much of his music but I am going to stream it now👏
Oh my God!! I’m from Portugal. I have a similar story. I also lost my voice in 2021. I’m getting it back now… over almost two years. Keep your eyes on the Lord Phil! You will learn something with this! God bless you!
God is doing a new thing!!! So good 🎉❤😊 Look Where I'm Standing Now was my anthem for so long since I was saved from cancer in 2021. So grateful for that song. Praise God and I pray He continue to bless Phil and this powerful leadership of artists leading our youth to Christ. Amen ❤
