Fan of Hunter, but not fan of how he has conducted his career ever since the Povetkin fight. He has fought absolute nobodies and looked bad in most of those fights. He even drew journeyman Forest. I don't see how fights like he has been taken can be beneficial for anyone's progression. Look at AJ who only fought B and C level fighters since he lost to Usyk. It creates fake confidence and bad habits. A hungry Hunter at his best is a force to be reckon with in the division, but I'm afraid those days are gone. Compare with Dubois who after he lost to Joyce in embarrassing fashion fought some c level guys before fighting Usyk(got dominated and lost in a quitting way again) then fought Miller, Hrgovic and now AJ. That's how you become good.
Great points. I suspect it’s only partially his fault. He doesn’t seem to have good representation and promotion behind him. I mean, who EVER talks about Hunter except when he pops up for the random rare interview like this?
Hunter needs to get back in. Hunter vs any guy in the top 20 makes sense. Hunter vs Joyce, Franklin, Miller, Bakole, or Wallin make sense.

AJ shouldn't have kept his hands low vs Dubois. Joshua should have used a high guard or at least a long guard. Cant have your hands low against someone faster with a more aggressive style.
