That was my exact reaction. Button can raise with a wide range of hands, unless there's a specific history of middle position not calling 3-bets I'm making $130 every time.
I like when he checks the cards when the 3rd club hit. Its normally a sign that the player is checking to see if one of their cards is a club. Usually meaning a pocket pair. And in this case he knows for a fact he doesnt have a club. Just psyching out his opponent making villain think its not AA.
If ur a psychic and knew what was coming postflop, then flatting with aces pre was obviously the correct play in this instance. But since u didn’t know u were gonna flop aces full, u misplayed it preflop. Especially since u had the button, a small 3-bet could’ve been disguised as u trying to take control of the betting in position. Even if there’s a strong chance ur gonna go heads up to the flop, a 3-bet is necessary in case your opponent also has a huge hand like KK where all the money could go in pre, or if they have QQ and an A or K flops to kill the action, or especially if your opponent has AK, ur very unlikely to flop the one ace left in the deck (if it wasn’t already dealt to another player), the only way u make any money is if they hit a K, and many players are willing to get it all in pre with AK. So for all these reasons, trying to be cute and sneaky with AA is retarded unless ur a psychic or cheating and u know an ace is coming AND your opponents makes a decent connection with the board.
There is only one reason to flat the raise on the button with pocket Aces. That is if the SB or BB have been squeezing regularly and the pros VPIP is high.

If you rip it here you have J or K of clubs or a full house or 10 high. the best play would have been to raise preflop to isolate the pro, then check flop, bet turn, bet big on river.
Depends on the board and what you think your opponents on, if you think he’s got the king club here jamming is the move cause he’s got a decent hand to think over but that’s hard to know and what he more likely had was trip 6 or a low club maybe even the last Ace so value was smart and got payed
Dude i literally played this exact board and position. But it check raised on flop and bet call turn and river was a 6 he shoved with only 200 or so left…. I knew he rivered quads n my flopped aces full got coolered but called anyways.. sickest beat i ever took.
Imo not a fan of the turn play. I would’ve liked to have seen a raise there. If he had a 6 he’ll call with one card to go. If he had a flush already he’s paying and possibly reraising. If he only had the Kc, you’re getting him to think he’ll get value on the river if the club does come. But if he has only the 6, another club on the river gets you minimal value or kill the action. I think you make more money on the turn with a raise and then a river bet regardless of the river also gets you minimum value or more. Still a nice hand 🙌
