This game came to life once I added SAIN, Big Brain, and Waypoints. Before the NPCs would stand in one spot and just let me shoot them. Now they could almost fool me into thinking they're real players. I'm never going back to regular Tarkov.

It's awesome that your playing this, always thought it would be in line with your content. Lemme pass on some tips. Lot of people also feel you can kinda get swarmed by scavs, you can tune this in SWAG with the "scav group spawn chance" and the "bot spawn delay" options. I personally doubled the time it takes to spawn another bot from 300 to 600 (I believe this is measured in seconds). I also set pmcs to "starting pmcs only" and disabled their despawning. This way you can kinda get a feel for how many pmcs are in the raid with you if you hear/see pmcs get killed or kill them yourself. As you said Realism is its own beast. It's default settings overhaul recoil and damage. Guns have punchy recoil but feel better than live imo. Stances are added, you will need to hold your gun in low or high ready to regen arm stamina. It also completely changes the medical system, meds only will stop bleeds and other status effects. Regening health is only done through injectors. Traders Inventory and prices is also adjusted, the flea market also unlocks in tiers. What you can buy and sell gradually unlocks with your level. Alot of the changes are frankly to hard-core for my taste but I still run the mod just disabling what I don't like, which I'm sure you noticed as theme with SPT as a whole. Lastly some mod recommendations: Stash search: search bar for stash. Hideout Harry: trader that carries everything you need for your hideout, albeit at some fairly steep prices. Backdoor bandit: adds breaching rounds to get through locked doors, I personally hate dealing with keys so I turned on the "pleb mode" option to let me shoot open any door with any gun. SVM: this is the GOAT, tweak stash size, extract availability, Crafting time, xp gain, insurance time and 50 more things I can't think of right now. Really looking forward to more of this from you, have fun!
Hey Qloud I love your Stlaker gameplay. One suggestion regarding SPT - I would switch GTFO for Dynamic Maps. This mods provides an interactive map in the map section(when you press TAB) and also an overlay while you hold M(default keybind that can be changed). It's a better implementation than GTFO, shows extracts, quest locations(with subquests) and Point's of Interest. Best way to learn new map, and for a beginner every map is new.
There are also multiple QOL mods out there, like SVM for example. I use it to slightly increase ammo in mags reload time, increase cases space. But it has much much more functionality.
Good to see, I recc trying out realism mod. It's quite a switch up and takes some getting used to but it's a far better system in my opinion, especially in relation to penetrations of ammo and armour values.

I guess you have seen this mod "GAME PANEL HUD" it shows compass, so you can see quests, exits, gun shots in the distance, and other HUD elements ammo, health etc. It may be better than GTFO one, in that hud mod, you can disable anything you don't like. Very robust mod. Take a look if you want.
Honestly I like you making these. I haven't played tarkov since the progressive healing bs like many years ago. I bought it in alpha and never went back after a year of beta
SPT is awesome! Should be in the base game, imo. Sometimes I even remove all the enemies and walk through the map collecting things for my hideout when I want a relaxed play session.
I was setting up my spt when i came across this video last night, woke up didy first raid and found 2 of gpus in the same room woth vanilla loot settings, most fun ive had on tarkov! (Ground zero btw)
Oh and on the pmc squad thing it is honestly terrifying, in my first raid I had died to a squad of 3 and the entire time they're just skeming. (The gpus were in my secure container and I kept my gear due to one of my mods, not any loot from that raid got kept though.)
Also, just because it's Tarkov doesn't mean you have to be super hardcore, under the hood SPT offers a lot of customizing like GAMMA, so don't feel guilty about going into SVM and making levelling easier or mag loading quicker. Default Tarkov is pretty busted in how much the game demands from you time-wise. I've made a lot of changes to some values to suit my playstyle while still keeping it challenging and it is so much better than live.
I added the gore mod and AI fix mods when i had SPT, helped with the beaming scavs and PMC's actually enjoyed the game for the first time since 2019 😂😂
Personally run this game with radar, max stamina and tweaked weight limit etc, the AI already cheat by having BS accuracy at random so atleast i level the playing field a bit, SAIN also buffed the aggressiveness, its annoying sometimes but atleast its not 1 sided line Live Tarkov
it's a mod, you need the original game (I don't know if you can navigate the 7 seas for a totally legit copy) but comrade Nikita with his unheard (scam) edition is completely against any type of mod (threatened with banning for using mods), he needs to get money to bribe the Commissars so that he dos not have to play EFT Donetsk edition
@@TheMeowse well.... it's not >unheard< of mods of the game to work with totally legal copies of the game, especially considering the direction in which the developer is going, so... who knows what the future holds. PS: sure, for now, SPT doesn't work but another mod or a cracked version of the SPT mod will start rolling around

I recently started SPT and i love it. I like Tarkov, but im really bad at shooters. So the very customizable SPT is kinda nuts for me. There are some flaws, ngl, but overall its really nice.
SPT = Single Player Tarkov, as it says in the name. It's a copy of the game that's modified to let you run the entire server on your PC, complete with a player profile. Progression is saved, so you can play your PMC, take stuff out of raid, do quests, use the flea market (simulated), do pretty much everything you could on live. All enemies are AI (scavs + PMCs). Everything about this game version is adjustable and moddable. Want to adjust AI do be harder or easier or even indistinguishable from live players? You can. Want to keep everything if you die? You can. Want to change your health, how meds work, how food and drink work, how ammo and armor works? You can. Some of what's possible you can see in the video. If you want multiplayer, look up Project FIKA.

i STRONGLY recommend questing and looting bots as well if you want it even more like live. I started calling ai PMCs players after that😂

There are also Reshade presets available like Meow Shader preset, but they have a bit of performance impact, just like in Stalker.

in case you didn't know you where fighting Kollontay in your first 2 raids in the first raid you actually killed the boss himself
SPTRealism with medicine changes turned off is a great deal of fun. And really difficult.
