Wait why didnt you use bed risers? And then do some sort of makeshift bed skirt to cover everything. It gives a ton of room under the bed and added height
We actually got bed risers but didn’t realize there were additional support beams underneath and we ended up not having enough risers to raise the frame 😂 - Meghal
Honestly if I had a room that small I would just ditch the big bed and get a twin, or a loft. I know it seems childish but it would free up a lot of space
Just curious....Does she share an apartment with others? No bathroom space or storage? Also, I think another great tip would be to utilize wall space....wall shelves, wall mounted coat hooks, command strips hooks, etc.
iheartigloos she does have roommates! The bathroom is pretty tiny so she has to keep her stuff in her room. She didn’t want hooks or anything and wanted to keep her walls as is clean and simple. -Meghal
Well done!! I love how you moved the bed so now you can access your window easily and also the nook at the end of the bed. Your space is much more peaceful now. You may want to consider a bed skirt for the end of your bed just to cover up what's under so your eye won't go directly towards it. :) Love the space now and it's so much bigger than it looked at the beginning. :)
Sometimes people are overwhelmed or don't have the knowledge to make better choices in life. This applies to our home space as well. It goes much deeper than our parents never telling us to clean. Understanding goes a long way and is more helpful than criticising their upbringing. 👩👩👦👨👩👧👧👨👨👧
My parents never forced me to clean my room when I was younger, but now I love to clean and organize. And some of my messiest friends have parents who force them to clean 24/7...
I was told. I have ADHD, and OCD. I’m also disabled. Right now, my OCD makes me feel like something terrible will happen if I change anything. And ADHD, it’s kind of like a failed perfectionist, if I can’t be perfect why bother. But I’m in too much pain now, to clean. I’ve lost the ability to bend down, so to pick things up, I have to use a little alligator arm. I don’t have energy either. My bedroom is bad and I’m deeply sad. I desperately need help cleaning it
I wanted them to move the drawer into that hole in the wall. I think it would’ve been perfect there. Or at least use that wall to put shelves. The bed would then have to be over where the drawer was too. Like a whole switch.
My daughter will be off to college and dorm living this Fall. With very minimal space I think this is a great video to get ideas on how to get organized in a small space. Would love it if you guys did a video like this specifically for college dorm living.
This makes me so happy! I was nervous when Bea left, I would go without my organization fix! So happy to see another great host and another great series!
The ceilings definitely aren't tall enough for a loft bed. My mom and I looked into one when we moved and had 7 ft. ceilings - they said 8 ft. is doable, but 10+ ft ceilings are preferred by most people so they don't feel like the roof is closing in on them.
I wish this video was longer so I could see more of the process. Can you maybe post a part too of like extended footage? I love organizational videos! It gives me ideas and inspiration!
I'm in awe of the organizer's talent because I had no idea how anyone would be able to work with that size and shape of room, but she did it. It also motivates me to reorganize my own bedroom because I have a lot that needs to go to the charity shop. I love videos like this
This was such a creative storage solution for the space without buying incredibly complicated storage furniture pieces. I'll definitely be using some of the boxes to organize my own space.
I had the same issue and just got a lofted bed. I turned the space under the bed into a walk in closet solution (I’m only 5’0). Way more efficient and not as prone to clutter.
I've been trying to do this but everything just keeps getting messy again! I gotta work on keeping it clean. You guys did such a great job! Decluttering really makes you feel so much better.
I think this was a good quick and budget friendly way to organize this space. Of course if you have more time and money, there are ways she could’ve added a ton of real and accessible storage here.
Awesome video!! I'm moving into a small studio next month with no closet, so the Metal Rack with wooden shelves is such a neat piece. Definitely getting that!! ^.^
Great job! This came out better than I had thought. My plan was to get a murphy bed but not everyone has the budget for new furniture. Your solutions were inexpensive and practical. I’m amazed! Now what if you dont have underbed space 😱
that spot of the further wall would have been perfect for a shelf, im really glad they moved the bed, when you walk in now your focus isn't immediately on it
The thumbnail pic doesn't do this video any justice. The redesign of her bedroom was fantastic! I was shocked there was a living room. I thgt her apartment was that one studio space.
I love this!! My daughter uses shopping bags from Gap for example instead of buying more organizational items or plastic boxes or bags. Looks pretty cool :)
I am so surprised they didn't get a lift up storage bed or bed frame with drawers on its sides. Seems like it will help a lot with getting things in and out. Good idea to move bed on the other side to make the space behind it accessible. What is terracycling btw?
Sofie P we looked into a new bed gram but since she only has access on one side those frames wouldn’t work. Terracycle is a company that works to recycle hard to recycle materials. Check out the beauty with mi zero waste episode to learn more! -Meghal
Sloan should also try getting a smaller bed like a twin size for more space. Especially if she’s the only one sleeping in it. Her room would look so much bigger and more conventional
Maybe get a slim bookcase to put behind the bed and then move the bed back a little. A loft would also be good, like we had in college. The ceiling seems high enough to do this.
Utilise your wall space especially in the nook behind your bed, and any thing under the bed should have lids on so as not to get full of dust, but a bed where there is storage under the mattress. 🐥
1. She needs a twin bed 2. Bed raisers 3. She could've done like pullout drawers? And a shelf all the way around her room like a floating one? For purses and or shoes
JENNI RAMOS bigger bed to spread out 😊 we considered a frame with drawers but because she only has access one side we decided to get the bags. The are more affordable as well. Thanks for watching! -Meghal
I appreciate at the end she mentioned the donation, recycle and terracycle bag. Declutter responsibly!
Wait why didnt you use bed risers? And then do some sort of makeshift bed skirt to cover everything. It gives a ton of room under the bed and added height
Gillian Harris that is EXACTLY what I was thinking!
We actually got bed risers but didn’t realize there were additional support beams underneath and we ended up not having enough risers to raise the frame 😂 - Meghal
Gillian Harris ++
@@MeghalandNatasha I hope she gets bed risers in the future cause it's gonna be so hard to fit all her winter jackets under the bed!
I would have ditched the clunky mental bedframe altogether for a DIY high rise bed with storage under

How big is your room? Mine is a lot smaller than hers
Shriya SRINIVASAN what city do you live in?
that's what i did. i had a full with a big headboard that took up most of the space in my room. now i have a twin xl and space to walk around
Whaaaat my room is like 1/4 of her rooms size. I have room for a desk and my bed that's it.
Just curious....Does she share an apartment with others? No bathroom space or storage? Also, I think another great tip would be to utilize wall space....wall shelves, wall mounted coat hooks, command strips hooks, etc.

Ok, but that blue eyeshadow looks soooooo pretty on Meghal!

This is one of my favorite videos. I went out and bought bins to organize under my families beds because we don't have closets. Game changer!
Some of yall were never told to clean as children and it shows

constant decluttering, like every week lmao. I just love organizing stuff.

YAS to that suitcase storage life.
The floor was still mega dirty when they were putting the organized stuff back under the bed.
Francy Chavez yeah, it never actually looks very good when they are done.
They showed them cleaning it though
They cleaned the floor. You dumb or what?
I love the dynamic between Meghal and Sloan.
