The Fox Glacier is really awesome - so many caves! And thanks for your kind words, Christian :) We're just stoked to be making videos at the moment. What have you guys been up to in Wellington?

Even though the price for a heli-hike seems a little steep we'll definitely be visiting both from a distance.

Comparing Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier which one is worth going if I only able to afford 1 Heli- Hike?

Haha that's a hard one, Laura did prefer Franz Josef glacier because it was soooo big and impressive but Robin did prefer Fox Glacier because we saw more ice cave and there was less people. Which one do you lean more toward to Sasiko?

From you videos, I would prefer the colour and scenery over Fox than Franz Josef, because of the turquoise-ish colour of the glacier!

Don't walk on this glacier without crampons. When we went many years ago it is true, my husband who is a GP had to deal with one broken ankle and a dislocated shoulder. To make matters worse, there was a serious road slip and we were cut off for four days while the road was repaired. This was not funny as Miles was the only doc, he did not have his medical bag as he was on holiday and was not amused. No helicopters at that time. Very slippery.

Oh man, that sound rough! You can only access this glacier now with guides and via a helicopter. (You can't walk onto it anymore). They have all the equipment to keep you safe including crampons :)
