I have seen at least one post in the facebook group where someone managed to crack their plastic frame. If this is being posted, I suspect it is happening more often then that and this is for those people so they know how to replace it.
Watching this taken apart, I didn't see a thermal fuse on the lines running to the bed like the voron's have. You think they have one and it wasn't captured in the video or just not part of this product? I have spares from my other printer and next time I am in there might add it.
Why are we being shown how to change the plastic frame of the heated bed? Please elaborate on the purpose of this fix.
Agreed. This doesn't appear to necessarily fix any issues. I'd argue the aluminum plate is more an issue than the plastic itself

Maybe the nozzle stuck to the plastic casing and melted it
Know wonder are bed meshes look like tacos. That's the thinnest piece of aluminum suspended on plastic 🤔🤔🤔
This being the case… can we just throw a different bed like that one of the ones that’d be used in a voron build?

Is this a fix for severe bed warping? Unsure what the plastic shell replacement is doing
If the nozzle melts the plastic shell, this video can help replace it
