I was prescribed Valtrex outside of 72 hours of the onset of the rash and had great results. Within 48 hours of taking the medication I felt back to normal, and rash started to heal and was no longer painful or inflamed. Also, FYI, I had mild flu-like symptoms before the rash was a noticeable problem.

I am under 50, after 5 days went to dr, so it wasn’t within 72 hours, dr gave me Valacyclovir hcl 1 mg for 7 days. After 3 weeks I went to her to check my shingles and because I still had a little burning feelings, she again prescribed another 7 days. I was feeling totally fine, but by taking only one again the feeling get worse
I went to see Dermatologist prescribed Acyclovir 800mg even though I told having had rash since a week ago for 7 days. The old rashes are now crusting and no new rashes now. I am confused about the 72 hours limit.

I had it almost 10 days and then was prescribed acyclovir. It worked, because it stopped the new blisters from forming they were on my face and spreading each day. So, acyclovir works after 72 hours. I have 4 bottles of acyclovir pills and the cream I keep just in case I ever see any signs of shingles.
@@PatroliHoax I'm not the original poster, but I can confirm I had MAJOR pain from the rash and severe numbness. Numbness was so bad I couldn't feel the side of my face and it had a tingling feel too. I couldn't even lay down to sleep. All of it eventually went away, but it took weeks.
Well, watching the rash starting to recede within three days and completely vanish within fifteen did it for me, I just used what I talked about and although it actually took 20 days, I barely feel the pain anymore. I just go’ogled Kaena Ramingler’s Shingles Solution and it feels like I hit my body’s feel good reset button :)

18 months with no diagnosis,ive had yo work it out myself.all that time in bed ad shoulder and arm pain so severe...can i still take antiviral

Western medicine failed me, would be on medication for the rest of my life. But thanks to Dr iyaremoses on RUclips for curing me completely..
