"accelerate" doesn't give you more turns, it just increases Agility. you can act sooner in the round, but you still only get one turn per person per round
Little tip here, it's fine to keep hero on the front line if he has the "pep up" skill, as it allows him to pep up whenever he wants. Other party members being pepped up increases the chance of someone pepping up.
Question why is there so many of these tutorials where none of you guys speak you just type in like the smallest font possible and then it's not even very good to tell

Yes that is true. This video is super old but you are correct.

that way you reduce the number that can run away
You are probably right maybe if I do get back into playing this I will but hoping a new DQ comes out
