FAQs/Why would they do that?! Answers
We are so glad you are here! Welcome to our channel!
1. We are in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border.
2. We do this on a volunteer basis.
3. Kim aka Mom is retired. Jennifer owns her own business as a massage therapist.
4. We film multiple locations in one day since we can’t go out all the time given Jen’s full time job. You may not see all the locations we filmed that day in one video.
5. You may see other people in our videos at times including Granny aka Sue (mom’s mom), Jeff (Kim’s husband and Jennifer’s dad), or Jessica (Jennifer’s little sister) and Lucy (our beautiful, amazing, wonderful dog).
6. Many wonder why we put stuff down culverts. A few reasons: it provides help for wildlife, we like to and it would have gone downstream anyway. If it blocks another culvert then we will take care of that too but most of the locations we visit are in incredibly rural areas where there won’t be another culvert for miles.
7. We care about wildlife and never want to cause harm to them. The only reason we will clear a beaver dam is if it is threatening land or roads that can not be accessed any other way. It may not be the road directly within sight but a farm road close by.
8. We appreciate advice in the comments. We understand that we will receive constructive criticism in the comments. What we won’t allow is the calling of names, derogatory terms, or just plain calling us stupid or idiots. We are all adults here and the internet is already a largely negative place as it is, let’s not add to it. We are people doing our best to help our neighborhood and planet by picking up trash and clearing culverts. Why do we deserve hate for that?
9. You may not agree with or like the way we did something but that doesn’t mean we did it wrong. There is a right/wrong way to dismantle a bomb. Clearing culverts is up for interpretation to the one doing the work.
10. We hope that you enjoy our videos and will keep coming back for more! Any other questions you have feel free to ask in the comments.

Just wanted to add a note here saying those sticker bushes, horribly prickly vines that are covered in very tiny sharp thorns, are called "greenbrier" in the Smilax family in case anyone wants to look them up. I am a plant nerd. They're everywhere in American forests. And many thanks, Kim and Jennifer! I really love every single episode.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for that info. I had no idea what they were. 😊
Lucy is such a good inspector!
I love it when Miss Lucy does her culvert inspections 🐰
Your determination is inspiring. That crumpled culvert was extremely challenging, but Jen persevered until she got it flowing. Great job and video again.
It makes me hope that you’re up to date with your tetanus shots. You never know when you might get scratched, scraped or cut by the rusty culverts! Your perseverance is certainly inspirational.
Well done ladies. Another great video. That bunny was so cute!
Kim sounded tired in the beginning. She sure has an eye for the scenery and the critters!
Great job ladies nicely done !!
Great job once again ❤❤
Another good video Kim,Jen and Miss Lucy !!!!

Ah Jen! Flicking the hair for the camera. You go woman! 😊
Love your channel, and your determination. I’m suffering with severe depression and anxiety at the moment, and I so love watching your channel.
You ladies are amazing. I love watching your videos. I do get concerned when you are working around metal culverts. I’m afraid you will slip and get hurt on the metal. Please be careful and keep doing what you do.
Hello it is me again from Montréal. It is so funny to hear talking you when you make fastforward, it is sounds like the Cheekmunks.....🤩🤩
Your hair is pretty!
Thank you
well done Jen in clearing the mangled culvert and not giving up easily 👍💪😊

Is that a spider web over those 3 culverts !!!!
Hi from Montréal Québec Canada Love to watch your videos and LOVE MISS LUCY too. I am doing well waiting for my husband to get out of the hospital after a heart surgery last monday. I watched your videos all the week to entertained me during that hard time. 🥰🥰
Speedy recovery for your husband 😊
Kim, are you okay? You have been much quieter than usual and your perky self. You are in my prayers!
That’s sweet, thank you 😊

another nice video of Kim, Jennifer and curios Lucy. 😉
❤
Another great video. ❤️
When you’re going down the country road, do you ever wonder if you’re gonna come across post 10?!
No. He lives so far away from us
@@culvertsandmore lol, I know, your drive down the single lane forest road made me think of him in New England!
He's in Maine for the love!
I love how you never gave up on that mangled culvert. Inspector Lucy approves! Kim is a little quiet on this one. I hope everything was okay. 😎🇨🇦😎
Hello you two! I’m going to have to rewatch this because I’m not focused but stuck on why you guys pronounce Arkansas, Ar can saw. Why is it that Kansas isn’t Kansaw? 🤣🤣🤣 I left in early morning to go in the city for a doctor’s appointment and got back 6 hours later…This is my tired of traffic humour! 😂 😂 Take care…. 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
That is how you pronounce Arkansas. If you are able, watch the episode of I Love Lucy where she was trying to make Ricky learn proper English, explains it all.😂
That racoon, around the 15 minute mark, was waiting for the show. A perfect setting for a rendition of Singing in the Rain. Hit it Kim! 😅
I'm think'in that mom should bring along a good camera and take some stills of those waterfalls, lagoons and picturesque lazy river bends. I bet others would like seeing them too .
I’ve thought about getting a camera for that sort of thing
@@culvertsandmore Many would enjoy a gallery of pictures of the water features that "mom" seems to appreciate so much. I've been watching ya'll for a couple of years now. This old boy is from Abilene, Texas, been to Lake of the Woods and Texarkana.
Glad you are doing well. It's too hot here! 94° here at 4:39 pm
Doing fine Thank you
Good to hear 😊
Jennifer, have you lost weight? It definitely looks like it. Great job ladies!
I don’t know if a shovel would have worked to clear the last culvert but it would have been fun to find out. Love all your videos!
Use of a shovel would depend on the compaction of the soil and rock. Given that it is pressed by speed and volume, I would imagine that most would be as hard as concrete. Ever jumped on a shovel to push it the soil, and it doesn't move? A pick axe or grub hoe would be more forgiving.
Course, the ladies with a pick axe would would likely start the comments about the Deven Dwarfs.
My dog is still awaiting for each time Lucy is on screen
Doing great thanks and how are you guys
know you probably did this a while ago but I just saw that Arkansas got massive amounts of rain yesterday. Ya'll need a little hand sized claw rake for culverts like that last one so not having to use hands
That you go around trying to keep the water flowing when there are careless people with machinery destroying the culverts they should be clearing/protecting is admirable , to say the least.
Damage like the 'flattened/crumpled' culvert wouldn't be happening if the county would drive 12' t-posts (drive 4'-6' into the ground and no one would be knocking them over easily) into the ground beside each end of each culvert. There are now motor-powered pounders to do this so it's a rather simple job. Such a thing would really help prevent such damage. The t-posts would also help you ladies locate the ends of the culverts. Painting the tops of the posts with an appropriate colour (depends on which colours they use for what in your area) would help them be seen by machine operators too.
As for putting you hand in a culvert, that's a wise choice you made; however, you are travelling with cameras, so you could hold a camera, on the end of your tri-pod or a selfie stick to check it out, no? Just an idea and not a criticism of the way you do things.
Take good care!
I was thinking while you were attempting to unclog that one pipe there, gee, wouldn't it be easier to use a water pressure like they do for cleaning drive ways, one of those old fashioned Hotsy machines, use the water from the pipe to clear away some of that small debris? Just a thought and an idea to pass along, you two do great work as a team!
Hey Jen do u think using one of your Dads pipes u could of pryed open the tin culvert a bit more so as not to cut yourself ❤
ive got a tetanus shot so im good.
Love the nature pics, love your channel and truly hope you're both staying cool this summer.
You call it a Creek we call it a Stream..
Jen,your mum sounded tired today
Ya all need a couple of hand racks
Maybe you should get some flagging tape like Post. Just a suggestion
😘🕊️
You all need shovels 😊
I'd hate to see the spider that made the huge web by the exit of the 3 culverts at around the 6 minute mark.
Great video! Not to be a negative Nelly... But if you're going to replay the footage from the second camera again on your videos.... You really need to speed up the video... You have it sped up to like 2x & it needs to be at least 4x speed. I really like your content of your videos. It miss seeing your Daddy in the videos. Where is he? And Lucy-lou is sooo cute!
I think some of it is for aesthetics. The calming nature of running water. Some of their views are very pleasant.
Love seeing more of Lucy. Does she belong to Jen or Mama?
She is more attached to mom but jen is the one that insisted we bring her home
😘❤️🕊️💋😘
What would you do if Lucy ran up ro a culvert and started growling and barking?
We would call her back and leave
I see Lucy a OU bandana
Was it just me or did Mom seem a little peeved the very beginning of this video
🐕😘❤️👍🕊️🐕
Sometimes when you are doing this in miserable weather, I think you must be on parole and doing community service because you have to.😂
Do you ever watch post 10?
👩👧💋❤️
ok ok ok ok ........
We know ok ok 😂
