I keep our onions in a produce drawer in our garage fridge - they do last forever that way! I just used a red onion yesterday that had been in there for at least 3 months, and it was still fine!
Funny how we can acquire so many material things just to find out it really is just simple things regardless of where we live or what we have. I feel like for most people it ends up being an expensive lesson to learn Americans know consumerism like no other lol

Get well or stay well depending on which family member you are. I've always kept onions and potatoes, including yams in the pantry.....as did my mom. I vaguely remember my grandparents having a house with a "root cellar" at one time.

I find when I’m getting fruit sometimes the farmers market is good and sometimes it’s not. Also got grapes from Sam’s club and they are good. I’ve also got really good raspberries from Giant.

Honey mangos are the best!! You might have needed to let them sit out for a day or two. Sometimes, there not ripe yet. Every time I get them from costco, I let them sit out. Then they are perfect.
Try using a head band over the dogs ears to muffle the dryer noise and high velocity air flow.

I'm also sensitive to kiwi! I worked at a bakery in high school and one of the things that I had to do was cut fruit for the tarts. EVERY time I would cut the kiwi my hands would get itchy and almost develop a mild rash. It was one of my least favorite tasks, so I'm thankful that the kiwi got me out of it, lol.

I only buy them when I’m cooking for a recipe & same w the potatoes! Only buy when I need them & I make them that day or the day after! My mom keeps her potatoes in a cabinet.

About a month ago my brother was over with his daughter and she was throwing up all night. They left the next morning and that night two of my fours girls got sick, the following night it was my 1 year old then the next night it was my 10 year old, then it was mine and my fiances turn. It was an eventful week. To say the least. Lol
Tiff, consider buying a “strawberry pot” and grow your own . I would also suggest buying plants from a flower nursery not a big box store.

Aldis definitely has the best produce as far as quality and price goes. At least that's my conclusion after comparing Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Kroger and our specialty market.
Onions and potatoes like cool, dry environments. So primarily in a pantry or cabinet. However in humid, hot climates, like Florida, they are kept in the fridge.

My vote for the best price/quality produce is Wegmans! It’s always consistently great near us. Whole Foods is too expensive and I don’t care for the quality of Costco and Aldi’s produce.
