- John Mayer tweeted to his Twitter followers about his upcoming show at the Hollywood Bowl. "Planning something so beautiful for the Hollywood Bowl show... Stay tuned..." and boy did he deliver.
That beautiful something turned out to be a 4-song duet performance with pianist Brad Mehldau, with a special emphasis on classic '60s rock. The two did Hendrix's "Wind Cries Mary," Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home," Led Zeppelin's "Going To California," segueing into Mayer's "Stop This Train." The set ended with a cover of the Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony."

oh gosh, i LOVE Going to California. i never made the musical connection with Stop This Train before this. no wonder i love both songs!
