I am from Maharashtra and have been staying in Bangalore for the past 15 years. Last month I visited Ayodhya and believe me every local was thanking Modiji and Yogiji.
You are correct - Congress did not develop UP for 65 years - the state Gandhi/Nehru family call home. Roads were extremely poor. Train lines did not cover many parts of the states. UP was neglected, with no toilets and no water.
Opposition increase in seats need to be credited to BJP's follies:
Manipur,
Brij Bushan,
Prajwal Revanna,
Using ED for intimidation of opponents,
arresting sitting CMs,
embracing corrupt politicians like Ajit Pawar,
Electoral Bond Scam..
