Great opening for the series, the addition of the stats and recoil pattern is a great plus. Talking about the difference with armor damage, pen, and helmets is also a great addition.
just bought pavlov as my first VR game. love how close pistols feel to when i played airsoft. your videos are quite helpful, insta sub there. Your channel deserves more recognition. Probably not that much yet because the VR market is still small. Keep it up, i'm sure if you upload regularly and keep this quality up your channel will explode once VR competitive shooters is more widespread.
@@YellowHat07 its amazing, virtual stock solved all my fears with vr shooters and once i get a good playspace and can move around freely i will be able to improve a lot more hopefully. do you have a public discord for your community? would love to have people to play with
I miss the original mg42 from rush ww2 it had such a good magazine cap and fast reloaf. And a far more controllable recoil I wish they would at least buff the magazine in it. Its way too small
I could see why they did it for a balancing purpose. The MG42 statistically is the fastest killing weapon to the body in the game, so making it so you have to reload constantly and burst with it helps to make it not crazy overpowered.
@@YellowHat07 I mean. If you could reload without installing a new belt it wouldn't be an issie. But the recoil is so horrific that the only practical way to use it is for room clearing. At point blank its great. At a distance yout better off with a mp40. The bar has a better recoil system even on the faster firing rate. Id be fine nerfing yhe damage. In exhange for a higher mag or faster reload
Nice vid! Played TDM on Normandy map lastnight and spawned with this and couldn't figure out how to reload it. so i'd just use up all 50 rounds, throw the gun at the enemy, pull out he side arm and carry on until I found a different gun. I wish you could drop the bipod and mount it to windows or objects for even more accuracy but limited mobility because it's affixed. (sorta like how they work in onward🤮)
How about the WWII SMGs for the next video? I've only recently discovered for myself that disabling the virtual stock in Pavlov lets me to take down targets a lot easier while firing from the hip MP-40, PPSh-41 or M1928A1 (especially if one is to take in consideration how easy it is to track down the tracers in the game). I personally did not notice any difference between these three in terms of damage and bullet drop at long distances, as I was dedicating most of my attention and efforts towards re-learning how to aim and take shots with semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles (the stance, hand position, keeping both eyes open and all that jazz), BUT there is quite a lot to say about the comfort of using each of those: PPSh-41 still doesn't feel very natural to me to wield it comfortably, the sights are bearable but it is an absolute treat to shoot at targets at range when I recall that the damn thing has selective fire mode(unfortunately, the selector's current mode might be a tad bit difficult to figure out on the first glance). Especially due to the fact that this SMG holds... 71 rounds in a drum, I think? MP-40, while lacking in the ability to fire in any setting that is not full-auto mode, still feels rather easy to control, has a foldable stock (which I've heard is nothing but a gimmick that has no real effect on anything, besides the aesthetics) and it is just kind of fun to sweep the urban area for the opposing force, get jumped by the Soviets or the Allies around the corner and then spray your 32-rounds tall magazine of 9x19 in the 45° cone. Never works out for me, but at least it feels a bit like I'm one of these classic unlucky baddies in a World War II movie that I happen to experience in the first person. Worth it. M1982A1 or "Tommy Gun" - yet another classic SMG... that I cannot really figure out for the life of mine how to use properly. The sights are not very convenient to use in the heat of the combat, actually, even out of the combat, whenever I spot someone at a distance and try to take them down... I still miss completely, because I end up aiming way too high and I completely forget how the damn iron sights work for this one, dammit! It is suprisingly satisfying to fire from the hip at close-range targets, somehow. Need to spend a lot more time with this one, I guess. Sten MKII - cannot really say anything about that one, I barely get to use it due to how rarely this SMG is actually an option on most maps, but I did like iron sights, due to how it helps me to look at a target through the sight without being overly obstructive (*cough* M1 Garand *cough* Lee-Enfield *cough*). Need to revisit it. The weirdest thing, though, is that I personally adore WW2 setting in Pavlov mostly due to how fun it is to use these weapons in a VR multiplayer game when listening to some CoD 2, MoH:AA, BF142/BF1/BF5, etc., soundtracks (I do sometimes switch to the 60-70 classic rock music that would fit the Vietnam War situation a lot better at times, but, come on, it still kind of epic) and hell, this stuff is so immersive and I glad I did not skimp on this game back when I got VR for myself. The bloody thing basically ruined every World War II-related game there is for me. Yeah, the sounds need to be reworked, the weird silly stuff about in-game weapons in comparison to their real-life counterparts, the horrendous TTK that I absolutely hate, yet have to get by while begrudgingly gritting my teeth, the way my PC is underprepared for all this mind-blowing (sometimes literally) VR goodness (yep, that damn Stalingrad map). It's all worth all the mental pain and limitations of hardware to at least try to experience at least a slice of this pleasant surprise cake. Well, it was a surprise to me, at least, because I never was much of a fan of Counter-Strike VR idea after playing it for a bit almost a year ago. TL;DR: Anyway, before I am to de-rail any more down the line, I actually came here to say these two things: 1. I suggest to do the in-depth analysis of SMGs for the next video. 2. Thank you for the video, it was very informative and exactly the kind that I was looking for since I started playing Pavlov VR WWII. Cannot wait for more! P.S. Apologies for the Great Wall of Text, it'd be a pain to read through the damn thing. I know, because I won't. And I wrote the damn thing. Bloody hell.
lmao its all good. I think since Im on the LMG's right now Ill be doing those first, and then Ill either do the WWII smgs, or some of the regular Pavlov VR weapons (like the assault rifles) for organization sake. All of the WWII smgs are somewhat similar in terms of handling and stats (except fire rate and a couple damage stats) . Theyre definitely fun to use and for WWII maps that dont have armor, they can be pretty powerful. Thank you for watching and for the comment!!
It can help with other weapons and almost no weapons can 1 shot you with helmets. Helmets almost always block the first shot to your head which can give to time to recover and prepare
It’s an alright weapon but it’s not reliable to regular users. For us, we could load it in 2 seconds, but if you aren’t sweating and deciding to be a normal player, than it may take 5+ seconds so yeah, slow as well
Great opening for the series, the addition of the stats and recoil pattern is a great plus. Talking about the difference with armor damage, pen, and helmets is also a great addition.
Thank you! Its something I definitely wanted to make sure was presented right. Plus it'll help people gauge whats actually useful in game.
I wish they’d add belts or mounted guns I’d also love a flamethrower or a mg3

This lmg has the same issue as all bipod based lmg's,
It won't let you deploy the bipod, making it a useless asset.

YH: MG42 is the best ww2 Weapon! Me who has a Panzerfaust: well actually...
Nice. Good job,
Thank you!
Now I need to check if the it makes a difference if I shoot someone square in the eye with a helmet on.
Woah, i did not know that crouching thing
I prefer the DP-27, quicker to reload and less recoil

Pretty Pogchamp!
Why thank you!
What do you mean by "due to how tagging works"?
Probably that when you get shot your movement speed is slowed by a lot
Whats the point of armour if almost every weapon does 100% armor penetration anyway?

Pull pin, count to 3, throw :)
