A beautiful addition Marty! And it'll look right at home with an 844 or 4014 excursion train. You know, I was marveling at the flag artwork, "Wow! The paint job's fantastic with the 3-D shadowing and depth! " and then you said it was removable! "Oh, no wonder it looks so 3-D!" 🤣 Thanks for sharing it with us!
not certain I like the 3d printed flag since the real tanker would have a painted flag but the 3d allows us to remove the flag for a different look. I do like the sounds, they are growing on me. Gary
@@TheTrainboard actually I believe the real tender that this is based on the flag was a 3D rendered plate. Lionel's very first attempt years ago had it painted on and because of that didn't do well. Also the flag on one side faced the wrong direction.
@MartyE martye, luv it when you share history. Im planning on including more historical stuff in our videos. Sometimes, its hard to find stuff, especially good period pictures and photos. Gary
Very nice. That is a beautiful piece, for sure. Although I am a conventional operator, I appreciate all of the bells and whistles that the new engines and cars have. The directional lights are cool and operating the couplers remotely is a nice touch, similar to the original post-war electronic set. They've done a real good job with the rail sounds, considering the size of the speaker I would turn the crew talk off, though. It is pretty hokey and they haven't improved it at all over the years. All-in-all, just a real fine model. An excellent video, as always.
The dialog to me is just play value and entertainment for guest but I agree it could be more realistic but it's definitely better than it used to be. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for commenting. Definitely a good color match to the Veranda and looks pretty awesome behind the 844. I just acquired some older MTH UP passenger cars that I can't wait to add.
It just goes to show yaa, as me Pappy once said, he said "SON". Sorry I forget the rest. Oh yes, did you know Dairy Queen was having a half price special on Jimmys.
Marty, very well done video. To the point, nice sound and camera work, the aux tender stuff clear and concise. Gary
Thank you. I really try not to overload the videos. I do better at some than others.
@MartyE yes, we try to work at that also, when we film . Gary

It really is a nice representation. Not sure if it’s prototypical but it really fits in with the UP steam.

@@MartyE It is for entertainment value, for sure. As a retired, career railroader, it still makes me cringe. Either way, it still is a fine model.
@@johnandrus3901 I definitely understand how you feel. LOL!
Looks like a perfect match Marty! I love the flag version.👍

I can’t wait to see them all together now. 👍
Nice piece Marty.
It is pretty sharp. I'm happy with it. Thanks for watching!
Neat !
Definitely nicer than the one I had with the flag painted it on.

I'm not sure how to reply.
@@MartyE That`s OK, Marx guy here and glad of it.
