I know everyone is glad about the decisions all of you made to run the HTF cars. I really think you are doing the right decision there. I believe in yall and I think you will have a great chance to win Saturday night. Thanks for all of your videos. Good luck Saturday.
Good luck this weekend and thanks for clearing up the droop rule. I'm glad your time with Henderson is over and I'm glad you guys will be racing your stuff!
I didn't even know it was there. Looked it up on Google maps. The pin is next to a field. Living in Millbrook. I'm going to make the trip up and check it out. If you've been there, think a wheelchair will roll fairly easy in the pit area?
@@mrray55 the pits are all dirt. It's hard but not very wheelchair friendly unless it motorized as the whole pits area stops away from the stands. I would suggest getting there early as the track has been packed just for weekly shows and they are expecting a larger crows this go around. I am on a fire department that rotates weekends providing ems so I am not sure how they stands are for wheelchairs as we stay in the pit area. The track has only been open for limited shows in 21 this is their first full season. The owner is a great guy and steadily improving the track for racers and fans.
No Problem -- You guys know what ya wanna do ... I'm just here to enjoy it! :) Reckon, as long as yall share, I'll continue to partake. More racing, all for it! Let's Gooooooo!!! Be Safe
Thanks for explaining the droop rule and I'm glad you're focusing on HTF once again. You've got a lot of irons in the fire right now - 4 cars, the racing schedule, the new shop, and your ever increasing merchandise business - to say nothing about seeing your families and significant other once in a while. And don't forget about helping Mr. Bo Slay out when he needs it - he's a wonderful friend to have for sure !
Glad y'all changed your minds on the Henderson deal. To me, just watching the vlogs when Joseph was driving the Henderson car, I got the feeling that the chemistry wasn't there between Joseph and the crew. Now go to Buckshot and get the set-up on that new Capitol right and get a podium finish. Good luck this weekend and Hunt that Front!!!
An idea to help out with trying to save your starters. On wash day either take your starter out or cover it in a plastic bag. It is something we are trying this year and it seems to be working
Thanks for the tip gonna try it next season. Also any tips on this? What could cause my late model to be really tight in the center of the turns my car gets real hard to get turned so I have to lift quite a bit to get it back down into the direction of the straight cause my car seems to gravitate more to the wall especially on 2 going into the back stretch pretty new to the late model game and still getting used to set up any advice would help
When you have sponsors that willing to pony up a Jay Dickens motor plus help out one other time in a super why mess around with a team with sub par equipment and have a problem making the car turn left. It’s not rocket science.
I so glad you guys made the decision to part ways with the Henderson team it looked great on paper. But I think the equipment ya'll have is a better fit. Joseph is a good wheel man and don't think the Henderson car was rite move for his career. I do think ya'll need to invest in a top level crew chief Joseph needs to concentrate on driving and not car setup.
Best move by far for the team. You guys work hard for the program, little advice I would invest in a valve spring pressure tester. Quick easy good maintenance to keep the engines tip top

They race 604, 602 Late Models, Open Wheel Modified, Factory Stock, 6cyl/4cyl Buzz cars. We hope you guys enjoy the track. They just added some new dirt on the track to help with turns 1 and 2. Last week, drivers said the track felt great! Being their first race season, they are still working on expanding parking spaces, and they still got a couple of upgrades and expansions to do. Be looking forward to seeing you guys there!
Thanks for explaining the droop rule more clearly, cause never to old to learn something new. About the time we stopped racing, if you didn't carry the left front wheel all the way down the straightway you were not winning. Stay safe!

If they haven’t changed the track itself it was a high bank heck of a ride over the top if you messed up, deep red Alabama clay track that was a lot of fun when I raced there. It was called the “Chilton County Speedway” then (1995-1996). Have fun guys. I can’t wait to see the track and facilities in y’all’s video. Good luck. The banking was so high if the track was real wet you couldn’t stop on 1, 2, 3 or 4 or you’d slide down to the concrete apron. Looked like A mini Talladega. I ran the old ancient motor grader and water truck every weekend to with a friends dad who was in charge of the track prep. Man the memories are rushing back. Lord the stories I have from there
Good decision to focus on HTF team and equipment for the balance of 2022. I admit I wasn't feeling the vibe sharing our driver. I too much appreciate the explanation of droop rule versus the deck height rule that Jesse explained. Good stuff.
thanks to Henderson for the offer but you guys have Htf/Langenfelder motorsports! you ve worked hard and are there. just keep digging and winning boys!
Nice that Henderson had you driving his car, but from the beginning my thought was you were doing their chassis set up development for them, since it was obviously not close the first time out.
It was an opportunity to drive the Henderson but if it wasn't right you done the tight thing to pull out, it is great to attend big shows but as a keen viewer of HTF I enjoy watching you guys at the local events just as much, johnathan your a top guy that seems to like the job done right over anything else and that's a great trait and one of the reasons HTF is successful. Time to get moved into the new shop and get the merch under the one roof . I hope you are still planning the drift car at the Cletus show in Bristol in September ?? Think that event could be a great laugh and help the subscriber's. 🏁🏁🏁🏁
Parting ways with Henderson Motorsports was the best morale booster u could of possibly did for Joseph. He just wasn’t himself in that car. He needs HIS team (htf) and HIS equipment when he’s competing against the best in the world on dirt! God bless!
Best decision you have made this year watched that team for years at Whynot they have different ways of doing things.feel like things will work out a lot better for HTF team
Glad to see y'all are going back to your own cars. As much as I'd love to see Joseph get a full ride I don't think the Henderson ride was the proper fit for y'all. Best of luck to them in their future endeavors and all but lets go Capital Race Cars!!! Good luck at the new track this weekend! Hopefully an update on the shop in the near future?

Glad HTF will be back in their Super with new motor. Joseph knows these Capital cars and with the input from Joseph will also help Jesse. When will the team move into new shop?
Anyone notice when the camera showed the new carb spacer pushed down on the intake that there was ledge showing on the manifold under the spacer. That should have been blended.. Good tip for buckshot, most drivers say the track will not dry out. The owner is new to the sport and always lays water on the track. I heard its always wet so be ready for that. Good luck to you guys can't wait to come out and watch.
So not the first one to get hit by it this year. You only have so much time in between things at the track. Small adjustments can change that and not have time to measure it
Interesting Asa. Weather Forecast is calling for a good chance of some showers in the area Saturday afternoon. I hope the owner takes that into consideration when preparing the track. I would think it is much easier to put more water on it than it is to take water off of it!!

I know there's more to it then just packing up and going racing and I'm sure it's on the list of things you guys would love to do. But yall need to come up to Illinois and run a week of the Hell Tour if you get the chance. Lots of racing in a short amount of time 👌
Hell Tour will come to Clarksville Tn. Thats the closest track for HTF. Little red clay 1/4-mile bullring. Very fast. Paducah International Speedway 3/8-mile Highbank's and is even faster.
After reading most of the comments I see that I am in the minority, but I really liked seeing Joseph running a Ford engine in a Longhorn chassis, just as a learning experience. Joseph is maturing right before our very eyes and he is going to be OUTSTANDING sooner rather than later. Give him another 1,000 races like the top 5 drivers have already driven and things will be much easier to figure out going forward. However, that being said, I salute your decision and you should never look back on it. Onward and upward! Love watching your videos!!! Can't wait to watch next week's video!!!
@@thomasgray2184 Yes, your math is good. How many races do you think that Scott Bloomquist has run??? Donnie Moran won over 650 races and he sure didn't win them all. I am confident that someone like Bloomquist has entered and run well over 1200 races and he is still going strong. My point IS VALID and so is my math.
I knew the Henderson was gonna be short lived I said it in another post I had. The sponsors for the htf probably had a little bit to do with the decision. May have not been all of it but it had a little I’m guessing
Good luck going forward! I don't like the droop rule because too many things can change your droop during the night and most tracks don't have a level spot to check every car in the exact same spot on the ground
I hate the Henderson ride ended, but if it wasn’t working out it just wasn’t working. Concentrating on your own equipment may be the best. Good Luck this weekend.
He could win it comfortably 🤙🏼 10-15 years ago it was a big series with top touring guys it was very tough! I remember in the 80-90’s it was mike head,Ronnie Johnson, Dale McDowell, Clint smith Dewayne hommel Etc.
@@Rambone72 Agreed. He needs more seat time in a 604 even though he is doing very well. Move him up too fast and it could be harmful. Let him settle in and win a few in the 604 before even considering putting him in a Super.
Several weeks back I was watching a video you uploaded and thought to myself, "I think Joseph would be better off focusing on his own equipment." Amazing how the Holy Spirit spoke to y'all too on this matter. 😉
Very happy to see you guys parted ways with Henderson. Now i dont know much about them but their equipment just seemed sub par compared to the HTF equipment i had noticed that very early on. It was one of them deals that seemed awesome on paper but just wasn’t really that special cant wait to see you guys win in the HTF cars 💪🏼👍🏼
Droop shit back in the day we had to have a set height before Q SOOOO we would place little concrete rocks in the spring perch and push the car up to tech once into the first turn them rocks turned to sand and we dropped a 1/4 inch where we wanted it to!!!!! One of the hidden problems of starters going out is what is called HANGING VOLTAGE Which is basically voltage is still going in after start might want to see if that is the case !
You should always do the “in car view” for revving and idling.... even if only for a second... i swear it sounds more natural on phones and small speakers... muffled just enough...
So, the droop adjustment is with the chain then? If it is how is that adjusted? I've notice that when drivers let off on the gas the rear spoiler doesn't drop down like it did years ago, like the springs are extended down the whole track and around the corner. Hmmm-I guess I need to wait until the end of the video before I start commenting. Questions answered! Good luck HTF. Hammer down Joseph!
The left rear shock and spring is way taller then it was years ago so that keeps it up. Yes making the chain shorter keeps it within spec for the droop rule

@11:00 Now THAT'S some carburetor float bowls.
Your gonna be right in my neighborhood. I'll have to come over there and say hey. 👍
I believe you guys will win Saturday night and flex a little 🦾 for what is in store for the rest of the summer 💯🏁
The draime and faithful have been a good combination on shorter tracks. Will you be going back to that combination for some of you events?
They don't answer questions.
I got my Dream Big shirt and I love it but it didn't have all of your guys signatures on it KEEP ON KEEPIN ON HTF BABY
1000 races? How often do you think these guys drive at 50 a year that’s 20 years lol
@@thomasgray2184 Yes, your math is good. How many races do you think that Scott Bloomquist has run??? Donnie Moran won over 650 races and he sure didn't win them all. I am confident that someone like Bloomquist has entered and run well over 1200 races and he is still going strong. My point IS VALID and so is my math.
always enjoy watching and learning
I knew the Henderson was gonna be short lived I said it in another post I had. The sponsors for the htf probably had a little bit to do with the decision. May have not been all of it but it had a little I’m guessing
im sure going in the sponsors knew there was other things brewing.
I think y’all made a good decision
Bless those Boys and drive your own
Car we the people watching like it better that way
So,the new, unnamed CAPITAL car doesn’t have a starter button under the hood/on the firewall?
I would love to see Joseph run the Southern Allstar series for the championship next year. Good Luck this weekend guys.
that's not a bad ideal
He could win it comfortably 🤙🏼 10-15 years ago it was a big series with top touring guys it was very tough! I remember in the 80-90’s it was mike head,Ronnie Johnson, Dale McDowell, Clint smith Dewayne hommel Etc.
I think we need to see the 56 skins on one of the other super late models.
Would like to see Jesse get a shot in the late model.
@@thatcurveguy Jesse ran late model last week in 604.
@@Rambone72 sorry i meant supers
@@thatcurveguy He still needs more seat time in 604. He's doing well and will only get better.
@@Rambone72 Agreed. He needs more seat time in a 604 even though he is doing very well. Move him up too fast and it could be harmful. Let him settle in and win a few in the 604 before even considering putting him in a Super.
Both engines sound great . good luck this weekend.
Several weeks back I was watching a video you uploaded and thought to myself, "I think Joseph would be better off focusing on his own equipment."
Amazing how the Holy Spirit spoke to y'all too on this matter. 😉
With the stepping away from Henderson, will you all be traveling up towards the north georgia/Tennessee area like last year to race any?
Been cutting intake manifolds in half for years!!! Now they can CNC machines do it all
Very happy to see you guys parted ways with Henderson. Now i dont know much about them but their equipment just seemed sub par compared to the HTF equipment i had noticed that very early on. It was one of them deals that seemed awesome on paper but just wasn’t really that special cant wait to see you guys win in the HTF cars 💪🏼👍🏼
I noticed on Davenports car the filler panel on the nose has a concave shape to it helping aero and the roof angle is different maybe that could help
Capital car for busted a few years back about the angle of the halo and roof. Capital had to change it
Droop shit back in the day we had to have a set height before Q SOOOO we would place little concrete rocks in the spring perch and push the car up to tech once into the first turn them rocks turned to sand and we dropped a 1/4 inch where we wanted it to!!!!!
One of the hidden problems of starters going out is what is called HANGING VOLTAGE Which is basically voltage is still going in after start might want to see if that is the case !
I think you got the droop rule confused and backwards.
Lol all my dad cares about is loading it on the trailer in one peace
Slap em HTF1 skins on Betty and let the Outlaw take her for a spin. I truly believe that Jesse could hold his own against that SAS bunch
I agree. Plus they double their chances. It is more work though.
Sad Henderson didn't work out but gotta take care of HTF. Also, thx for explaining droop rule
You should always do the “in car view” for revving and idling.... even if only for a second... i swear it sounds more natural on phones and small speakers... muffled just enough...
Well, its 2 days after and you guys put a whoopin on the boys, track record and all, congrats.
I wish y’all could come to buckshot speedway this weekend in Alabama
Must not watch the videos
Hard working guys. Love the you keep it clean. You guys such a Great job with the videos. Hollywood like.
That’s a brand new race track just built this year
I'm thinking that the math has changed since the deal with Henderson was made and when the new Capital and Landenfelder engine showed up.
My thoughts exactly
Do you have plans for July 16th yet? I'm gonna be in Milton and would like to see you guys run at southern if your there
So, the droop adjustment is with the chain then? If it is how is that adjusted? I've notice that when drivers let off on the gas the rear spoiler doesn't drop down like it did years ago, like the springs are extended down the whole track and around the corner. Hmmm-I guess I need to wait until the end of the video before I start commenting. Questions answered! Good luck HTF. Hammer down Joseph!
The left rear shock and spring is way taller then it was years ago so that keeps it up. Yes making the chain shorter keeps it within spec for the droop rule
Good luck with this weekend sounds like the engine in my pickup
Are you guys going to head out to Vegas for the duel in the desert that XR I'd putting on?
