Qatar Airways' WORST Business Class - Worth It?

- Qatar Airways has around a dozen different business class seats, and as far as long-haul seats go, this is their worst. I flew it recently from Doha to Oslo and despite the old seat, I really enjoyed the onboard service. This flight featured some of the best food I’ve ever been served on QR, and the views on arrival into Oslo were insane! Overall, this is a comfortable product and I’d be happy to fly it, but compared to Qsuite, it’s incredibly underwhelming😅

have taken 15 hour legs on Qatar, economy and Q-Suite. All of the food was wonderful, and yes, fresh fruit in both classes.
If this is the "worst" I can't even imagine what the best looks like 💀💀

Emirates economy was nice when i flew in it last year. but flying in their first class is def on my bucket list.
The longer flights are better like from New york or LA. Singapore airlines is the best tho

i had a 17 hour flight from doha to dallas, i was only business class, but that was one of the nicest experiences in my life, qatar airways is probably my favorite airline

As a cabin crew for Qatar airways yes some passengers are dissatisfied with our business class service but it’s the same one that still books it with us lol 😂😂😂😂

Qatar was once brilliant but if you haven’t noticed, their services are truly lacking, find excuses for everything.
Qatar Airways is better than emirates
Just took Qatar from Boston to Hyderabad, Mumbai to Doha, Doha to Colombo and then back - and on to London. In there I was upgraded a couple times. One thing about Qatar is it works very hard to give everyone a great experience. The effort in coach is not as intense or personal as business, but it’s better than any other coach offer out there. IMHO. Thank you, Dan.

Emirates beats qatar in economy by a MILE. On my last flight with emirates, their crew was so friendly and lively that when you compare it to qatars crew, out of their leauge
Good food goes a long way to making people happy, be it on the ground or in the air. It's something many airline execs have forgotten. There is more to air travel than getting from point A to point B. Too bad they don't all "get it."
It depends on what price you are paying . The food needs to have hygiene and a bit of taste at least . These planes have kitchens that's why the food tastes good . Most airlines use preserved food cuz you can't cook in there + the food's blandness increases with altitude

I recently had the same seat from Doha to Atlanta. It was an incredibly good experience because the staff and the service and the food is so good. I agree the seat is really outdated but I didn’t want my flight to end. Qatar is so good.

There’s absolutely nothing bad about Qatar airlines. In my experience it’s hands down the best airline. I’ve flown economy and business in all major airlines and first class in some. The Qatar business class is borderline almost the same if not better than the first class in other airlines. Qatar is just on a different level. My only problem is the business class lounges at Doha. They’re not as exclusive as one would hope after paying 10k for the flight. The lounges are ALWAYS overcrowded and you can’t find a good comfy spot to take a nap. I mean Turkish airlines business class lounge is more comfortable and not crowded at all.
They recently opened a bunch of new lounges in their new wing. So pressure has now been relieved.
@@tj1913b must be very recent. Cause i flew Qatar last month and the lounges were really crowded. I even paid extra for the Al-safwa lounge so i could catch a quite nap for my 8 hour layover. It wasn’t worth paying extra cause the lounge was packed with people everywhere
@@CaliShah yes I'm in Al Safwa right now. 2 weeks ago I tried the other new lounges on my layover. All quiet. I think people maybe just don't go there yet so maybe still going to the old one opposite first class lounge.
Too bad Qatar doesn’t care about human rights.
@@CryptocurrencyInsider we are speaking very surface level. What we pay vs. what we expect. If there is more tell us. I want to know. Please don't assume we just know, as we are customers looking for good prices and good customer service. There are holes everywhere that we as customers genuinely don't know about or can't do much about.
Watching this video sends me into deep nostalgia, I traveled in this airplane for the first time and that was the best experience ever.
We flew Doha - Copenhagen in the same Class. It was only a relatively short flight after Adelaide Doha, and we were perfectly happy with it.
I just flew Qatar Airways for the first time this week. I flew on this product from ATL-DOH and Q Suites from DOH-KUL. Without a neighbor, I actually much prefer the old business class seat...especially for sleeping and reclining with my feet up. I'm only 5'3", so even I felt like my feet were a little cramped in the Q Suite foot well.
However, nothing beats the privacy I felt in the Q Suite - you literally forget that anyone else exists. The flight attendants kept inadvertently scaring me because I didn't see them coming up to my seat and it didn't help that my seat was rear facing. 😂

There’s a caveat to this product… having flown just about all the Qatar products, this one was the best for our one year old son. Me and Mom got to sit right next to each other and he had plenty of space in front to sit and play! PS, he learned to walk in the bar area of the A380… 😮😊

Yes! Love a Business Class with room to wander, meet other passengers and move about with a child. For all my biz travel, flying w kids up front was my fave. Congrats to your wee one!
@@newyorkeranew it took me until age 30 to fly biz and that was a free upgrade! Our boy has flown 45k miles in biz by age one, so we’ve experienced a lot of different seats and planes with him. As far as kids go, the older style (like this) and the old BA ying Yang are best. The a380 bar area also very useful (if quiet) for kids to have more space.

Because it's a Muslim owned airline that doesn't sell alcohol. So "worst" according to the haters.
Probably because it’s the oldest business class in their fleet, so it’s outdated vs the newer aircrafts

I actually prefer that kind of Qatar business class over the newer ones where you are in a closed off cubicle.
Me, too. I dislike being isolated and I enjoy sharing a few words with a neighbor. Only trick, I love the window seat and need to climb over my cabin mate for walks during the flight.
I think the main issue with this one is the configuration. You'd have to step over the person next to you to go to the bathroom, which can be disrupting when sleeping

Q-suites are a game changer
Qatars food and service completely depends where you are flying from if u are flying west towards EU or USA services are pretty good, services are average if you are flying from bangladesh, india or similar countries

I absolutely love this product. Without a neighbour, it beats a lot of the new hot stuff ... for me, at least. Feels like a plane seat at least, not like a dental chair cocoon. Only when accompanied by the QR soft product, of course ❤

I live in qatar but never has flied business, but economy is still comfortable to me. In 3 days I'm going and I'm so so so excited! I'm going from doha to sofia, and from sofia a 3 hour road trip to Skopje. I already have a plan on what i will do, what I will wear, what to pack, and what to bring

Been travelling on it. But let me tell you what, food and drinks as well as crew were lovely! I think we went through the whole menu and drinks menu. Nothing was too much. I'd definitely fly that class again.

I recently did business from LAX to CDG in Air France and I feel your seat reclined better than mine and the food service yours looks a million times better.
Normally take the newer plane or Q-suite to Sweden but tried this product on a flight to Barcelona about eight years ago. The TV was a bit far but it is bigger than what's available on the A350 or B787. The service and food catering is the same tho.. amazing as always!

I flew in one of those seats LAX-DOH-LAX and found the Diamond Parallel seats were just fine - though I took a middle row seat to have aisle access with nobody climbing out over me. Of course the service and food were impeccable and the seat was provided with comfortable bedding.
Being able to sleep and sleep comfortably seems the best part to me!! ❤

Thank you for making this, showing that even the worst bussiness on Qatar isnt bad. Im flying Qatar for first time UK to SA bussiness soon and ive seen so many vids saying these planes have been swapped for the more modern planes last minute. Now im not worried i will get a bad experience even if that happens. (Im a nervous flyer and flying alone accompanying my hubby home ⚱️)
P.s. i used your channel to research flights and companies before my trip (thank you) and my favourite part of your vids is how happy and peaceful you look with the rose scented towels 🤩
Took Qatar to Kenya from Australia. Cattle class. It was a good reasonable flight, nothing too flash, but no complaints either. Would do it again if I had to do economy.

Flying the other way on this route in May, been watching the OSL-DOH flights for the past few days and they've been operating their 787-9 on it for the most part. Unfortunately, in April looks like they're switching to the 787-8 which is a big step down IMO.

Seems like fantastic flight means good food, well the seats look comfy but you complimented mostly on food and while they look good, you can eat that in most big cities at fraction of the cost of yhe flight 😂
Qatar Airways is fantastic and it was beginning to make competitors in neighboring countries so jittery that it was forced to change some routes so as not to start a war. My own experience with it was from Doha to NYC and it was great every time.
I actually enjoyed this seat. Took it in Oct 2023 from Qatar to Berlin.. I slept better on this seat than in Q suites on the first leg. 😅 My seat neighbour right beside me slept well too.

I prefer to have a holiday with my family for two weeks in the most posh hotel rather than spending 5 times more than what we actually pay in economy class. But ofcourse...if you don't know how to spend your savings.....definitely you can fly in business or first class❤

you should see qatar airways a330 economy. Worst product they serve. I mean service is still nice but the ife, seat quality, and just experience is not the same as the new economy seats of the 777s, a350s, 787s and a380s that are really the main factor of qatar having a good economy product

I think it’s worth it. I get gassy during flights so I tend to avoid drinking and eating. All I need is a flat space to lie down so I can sleep.

In December i flew this cabin in Qatar airways in economy and it was awful compared to their new cabin, luckily i was tired enough to sleep through the whole flight, but it was no up to standard in economy
