idk how they make the sound at the beginning, but it's beautiful and haunting, it sounds like someone crying put into music. they use it in untrust us too and it invokes a feeling I can't explain. they're so good at using sound aesthetics to invoke unique emotions. my favorite kind of music; it feels like it's so real and not fucking around and fake like a lot of music feels especially nowadays. they put real, deep emotions into their songs; emotions we all feel but can only express through music; yet rarely has it been done this well. they're not afraid to invoke uncomfortable emotions in the listener and the result is haunting and refreshing.

I remember I used to listen to this song last winter while walking home from school , all the time. Not a nice memory to be honest, back then I was at my lowest point in life, both self harming and going through an eating disorder that was killing me. The sound of this song naturally makes me feel sick now however its got a special place in my heart.
