In case we have all forgotten, courts are not perfect and make mistakes. I don't see what was a wrong with him doing what was done in the past and calling for a unbiased committee to verify. By rejecting the idea to investigate, they just caused rumors to grow and fanned the flames of voter discontent. "If you've done nothing wrong, what is there to fear?" is what I say.

It's also stupid af to compare 2020 to the Gore versus Bush debacle in 2000. Ted Cruz equated the two situations, but it was actually close in 2000 due to Florida not being certain who won, so close it came down to a 5-4 scotus ruling which was resulted in much post-election controversy.
In 2020, it was not close, Biden won by quite a bit. It was only controversial because Maga Trump cultists are sore losers.
