- Like Lion, Conqueror can sneak around the map by taking advantage of her low detectability range. Her size means that she will take quite a few hits in a gunfight. As such, it is important to position properly and use concealment when faced with overwhelming odds. When this isn’t possible, Conqueror is capable of holding her own. Her high-explosive (HE) shells are extremely powerful and sport a high fire chance. This is useful when engaging multiple ships because she can burn her enemies at range and switch to armor-piercing (AP) for more devastating hits at close range. However, her HE shells are powerful enough that some captains may choose to use it exclusively.

People sleep on British BB AP in general. They shouldn’t be ships that you solely spam HE out of…just most of the time.
HE is just to freakin good compare to the AP that doesn't pen well unless they're absolutely flat.

@@greggblack8205 the HE is incredible, no argument there but there are times when absolutely everyone should be shooting AP. For example, the opening salvos of the game you will usually have broadsides to shoot at. Getting a dev strike right at the start of the game is way more impactful than starting a fire that gets put out or healed back any.
Another thing that some people might not know is that 90% of fire damage can be healed back. People like to see their damage numbers tick up but it isn’t effective damage in a lot of cases.

Ill die on this hill we need fire chance to be nerfed if citidals are far and few between make fires far and few between you can also have zero aim and bam 2x fires instantly but you take your time to aim and wait for the right moment maybe 1 cit if your lucky
I know its unpopular but man i feel like i have gotten way more fires than citidals and some of the fire shots i just blindly lobbed it
We just need AP to do its job correctly, HE is fine (sort of) lol
