Hey Nichol...I seem to struggle with standalone die sets and what to do with them and have even noticed that a lot of other card makers simply use them as silhouette images. It makes such a difference adding color to them and I so appreciate you sharing this. Thanks Nichol!

I know Nichole should respond, and yes, all Spellbinders dies work fine with the Big Shot. I usually use the shim.
beautiful cards! Not sure if you mentioned this and I missed it, but there's a typo in the sentiment you used on your Santa card. It says "tis the season to by jolly" instead of "be jolly". Do you know if this has been corrected in the stamp set?
Melbell on Simon says stamps website it shows to be jolly.....maybe the one she has is a fluke?
Sometimes designers receive prototype sets. It’s more likely that is where the difference came from.
I have the same die for Santa but the detail on the beard and eye brows does not show. Maybe I’m doing it wrong?
You may want to try adding a cardstock "shim" into your die cutting sandwich for added pressure when die cutting. What die cutting machine are you using?
