Yeah, I was originally swooning over Helm's but after thinking about it, Drake's is unbelievably good for the shotgun team. And the shotgun team has been universally used in Solo raids for EVERY element over the past year. Helm puts her as a surprisingly great damage dealer against water weakness, but she would be used for just that, water raids. Drake edges for that universal use alone, but regardless you'll eventually want to max both.
It’s funny cause I love Matis squad to death so I’ve had them built for awhile and when Laplace got her favorite item I was ecstatic and she easily became my number 1 unit and they announced Drake wa getting hers and I was like, “wait Matis might just get all their favorite items soon…” so now I have Drakes and as someone who has invested in Shotgun meta this just made me even more happy so yeah I’m pretty pleased with these Favorite Items.
I'm not really worried about metas for the most part to be honest. If I focus a favorite item, it's going to be because I like the character. I've done Frima, next I may either do Milk or Helm.
Personally, I think Helm is a better first pick than Drake. I just see Helm as a well rounded unit now. She has decent atk buffs similar to a Burst 1 Rapi, she has decent Burst refill which can replace burst cd type skills, she can provide decent heals whole fight that can replace Naga for Crown combo, and she can dish out quite a lot as a supportive dps and potential boss killer. She can be placed as a flex (5th member) in team comps and still do her job properly as a stand alone imo
Miranda = Support for 1 Shot Big Booms (Maxwell, Snow White) and Crit damage Milk = Offensive Flex Drake = Shotgun Shenanigans Helm = Offensive Multirole(Burst Gen, Damage based healing, HEAVY Burst Damage) Helm is my favorite of these characters and one of my favorites overall, so I already had everything I needed to start working on that one. I'm close to done with setting up my Shotgun team(s?) so Drake is coming in right after(and also a really amusing character overall so I'd probably go for that next anyway). If Elysion tower is still a pain after finishing with Helm's special item I'll go for Miranda next, Helm + Miranda should be decent for Crit comps there in all honesty.
People actually is sleeping in how good Drake S2 buff is lol it's basically a x4 increase in her dmg against bosses! Can also nuke mobs without actually targeting they! With her 63% atk buff, she'll do a crazy amount of dmg compared to before!
i gave all 4 phase 15 dolls when their fave item was announced months ago. unfortunately, Helm is at LB1, so don't have her fave item yet. got the other 3 fave item arts on my lobby. as for what i'm building, i'm working on Drake. she's a good replacement in my shotgun team and gives me a different element for DPS. my other solo/union teams are pretty solid. if i had Helm's fave item, i might've started with her for tower

I don't see how Drake and Helm are on the same tier or anywhere close when Helm can fit in on almost any team but Drake needs 4 other built characters to be usable, and then only in non campaign stages. I was so excited for the Drake favorite item, it's heartbreaking that she basically just got stuck with being a shotgun enabler. So not only is it a massive pain to grind for her favorite item in and of itself, you also need some combination of heavily invested Tove, heavily invested Bunny Soda, heavily invested M.Privaty, a built Leona and even then Drake can't even be used with THE best shotgun unit in the game because S.Anis is a last bullet character. Drake enjoyers got shafted here. Not because Drake is bad, but because shotgun is bad in general and ShiftUp doubled down on making her a shotgun only buffer. Meanwhile Helm gets a burst generation buff (and you don't even need to manually quickshot with her to get it), a solid heal and attack buffs for the team that were already good pre Favorite Item but are now even better. There's no reason gameplay related reason to pick anyone but Helm first out of this set of favorite items.

Honestly you should invest to max out the dolls for Cinderella, sbs, red hood, alice, rapi, Moderina etc. The power boost in cp from them is good asf.

Helm then Drake, Helm because of Elysian tower and Water advantage SR, Drake for SG team buffer.

you have to max out a purple item to level 15 and then you get access to the mission for it.
You also need bond level 30 meaning you'll need to get a total of 2 copies on top of having the unit
