Yup. I've always found that the products you need to invest in the most are face ones (foundation mainly). There's amazing long lasting lipsticks in the drug store end and anything above it is just more of the same thing. Mascaras is the same. You can literally find a 3 buck mascara that does the trick.
My top 3 mascaras are the maybelline sky high, L’Oréal lash paradise, and the telescopic by L’Oréal. I just love the way these all make my lashes look because I have very short eyelashes but they make them so long. Definitely recommend!!
I finally tried the L'Oréal lash primer and what a difference! I'm 49 and my lashes are a tiny bit different than when I was younger but when using the primer my lashes are waaaay longer, thicker and amazing looking. Best new find!
I love that you mentioned L’Oréal Voluminous Million Lashes. That is by far my favorite drugstore mascara. I feel like it often gets overlooked. My other favorite mascara is Benefit Roller Lash.
If there's a battle between drugstore mascara and high end mascara, i think drugstore will win. You will get the same or even better effect at a cheaper price. My favorite mascara is the Maybelline lash sensational!

I love the loreal lash paradise mascara as well! And you’ve turned me onto the primer which I love. Makes other mascaras last and look just as good as the lash paradise. One tip I’ve learned is to hold a mirror below your chin and look down. It helps me not get (as much) mascara on my eyelid. Thanks so much for your awesome videos and tips 👏🏻
lash blast is everything and I also find myself going back to it. I've been using it for like 10 years and the waterproof formula is amazing for the summer.
I asked my husband to pick me up mascara, told him it was covergirl lash blast... let’s just say he’s not as good at buying makeup as Tylan is hahaha so he ended up getting the Voluminous Million Lashes. I wasn’t sure about it but it wound up becoming my favorite mascara!!! Love love LOVE the stuff, and LOVE your videos!!!

I actually have never used a high end mascara (ok I've never used any high end product 😅)..but mascara is actually something I do use from time to time when I wear make up, and my favourite mascara is a German drug store mascara called "Glam Doll" by the company Catrice, which is quite popular here in Germany. I use the version in waterproof and it is so so so good! I actually thought about sending you one!
I never buy high end mascara, it has to be replaced so frequently & there's so many drugstore options that work just as well for me. I really like Maybelline Lash Sensational. It's a wetter formula, which I like & while it isn't as easy to remove, it doesn't flake off

Yes!! These are some of my FAVOURITES and they work so so well for me. They actually make my lashes look darker which is always my issue bc I have long and thick lashes but they’re lighter
I love the Bye Bye Panda Eyes Mascara from Essence! I live in Europe so I’m not quite sure if it’s available in US. It if you can, try it - it’s a great tubing mascara washable with warm water. Lashes look bomb ❤️❤️
Hi Allie, I have always been a BIG L'Oréal mascara girl since I'm a kid. L'Oréal voluminous, lash paradise, million lashes and telescopic. I tried maybellline -falsies push up drama too and loved it, I've always loved drugstore mascara. Always. Recently, I got Marc jacobs mascara in my Sephora playbox and did not like it at all. Drugstore is better. But I LOVE Marc jacobs lip gloss. We all have our favorite things from different brands. You have the prettiest lashes!!! Love u girl!!! Oh btw huda came out with 2 new mini palettes in corals and gemstone. They r gorg. Can u do a tutorial on them. They are $27 thanks girl. Xoxo
I have been using the L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara for about three + years now. It is such an underrated product and deserves more attention! Recently switched over to the L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara EXCESS & love it SOOOOOOO MUCH MORE! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better. It gave better results than the Benefit They're Real! Lengthening Mascara, which was my go to for some time as well.
I loveeee the waterproof maybelline lash sensational! It’s my absolute favorite, I only use waterproof because it’s the only kind of mascara that will keep my stupid straight lashes curled! I’ve never heard of the million lashes one, I’m for sure gonna try that one!
For some months now, I've been in love with the Maybelline falsies Push Up Angel Mascara! I had some faves before, but with this I could actually tell a difference and I feel like it even curls my lashes while I apply it! Love it!
Wow you have such beautiful lashes and great ideas of how to make to make the best out of what you have. Loreal has mascaras that have the white primer on one end and mascara on the other end. Two in one and you're right it makes it so much easier to take off your mascara. Great video :)

I love the L’Oréal volumizing primer! I love wearing the burgundy mascara because it brings out the green in my more brown hazel eyes. I love volumizing mascaras. I’m a drugstore makeup fan.

I've been using LOreal marcaras for years, they really are the best of drugstore brands, but considering that they are the parent company of Lancome it makes more sense.

I have been wearing Cover Girl Lash Blast for YEARS! It is by far my favorite drug store mascara and overall my fave mascara ever. People always think I have fake lashes esp when I was a beauty consultant. I was constantly was asked "Where can I buy the lashes you have on?" It really is the best. Thanks for this video! xoxo

I used all to the last mascara and now I'm going to buy that. I had such a hard time putting on false lashes that I've given up so I spend 4 months putting oil on my lashes and they grew nice and long and now using Loreal products, my lashes are perfectly long and thick. Great video.
I also enjoy L'oreal lash paradise, but tried Maybelline Lash Sensational. I like the Maybelline a bit better for my small lashes. These types of videos really help when picking something when your unsure. 💕💕
I recently within the last 6 months or so switched to using the covergirl lash blast volume mascara. It is by far the best mascara I have used. I love it. It is better than any high end mascara.
I am a fan of voluminous (always have a backup one)... tried lash paradise in waterproof and didnt like it... plus cant stand the wand. My new fav is maibelline total temptation.... they dont advertise it as waterproof but it does a pretty good job.
Love the tip about pushing up into the roots of your dry mascara for a light curl. I have the same problem that my lashes are very long and curly on their own so I don’t like curlers on me
I've sworn by cover girl lash blast volume AND loreal voluminous million lashes as 2 HG's for years so we agree they are 2 of the best regardless of price!!

best ever Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara- Non of the high end mascara can reach this one and I've tried them all . Max Factor started with the silicon wand but they got discontinue in the US and this is when CG.lash Blast showed up .LOVE IT ! can not live without it .

Physicians Formula makes a good cruelty free mascara (green container). **All mascara's should really be cruelty free (sad that companies still test on animals)🐇

Searching YT today for a lengthening AND volumizing mascara, this video popped up. Only 2 minutes in and I'm hooked! We have similar lashes - naturally long and curly. The L’Oréal Lash Paradise Lash Primer is THE BOMB! I applied the Double Extend mascara WITHOUT the accompanying primer and my lashes felt CRISPY-they still has me length a d volume but it really wasn’t the same-it ALSO was MORE difficult to REMOVE. Primer really DOES make a difference
I have sensitive skin, sensitive eyes, and my eye shape is slightly close-set, deep-set, slightly droopy eyes. I never use waterproof mascara but I want it to last all day, without crumbling. My ride-or-die mascaras: 1. Maybelline’s Great Lash CURVED (I can’t count the times people have stopped me and complemented my lashes/asked what mascara I use. Effortless, lasting curl, great definition, a pleasure to use. I also have way fewer accidental mascara spots on the skin around my eyes using this wand). 2. Almay’s Length and Lift! No mascara crumbles, a nice wet-but-not-too-wet texture upon application that prevents clumps, and it lasts well without smearing or crumbling. Doesn’t hold a curl as well as the Maybelline curved wand, and I have more accidental mascara on my eyelids with this formula / wand.
I have just started using lash paradise. I have been using physicians formula for years now, but I am having a hard time finding it in stores anymore. So, now I use a mix of the two. I don't think I like lash paradise alone, but it is growing on me.
With all respect, it’s 3:30 until the first mascara. I’m someone that can appreciate getting to the point, which is not the case here. Noticed the subscriber count, but is not for me. However, may you continue to do well. You are beautiful.
NO ONE talks about this one, probably because it is in a lame silver tube but MAYBELLINE FULL N SOFT has been my ride or die for years now. It's got a synthetic (soft) brush and vitamin E to moisturize your lashes. I use the waterproof one (non waterproof is a black tube!) I've tried to leave it just for the packaging but it's just the absolute best one I've tried. It's AMAZING so natural and soft not brittle ZERO clumping! Like 6 bucks too.
My favorite too!!! I’ve tried everything from L’Oréal Lash Paradise to Tarte Lights, Camera, Action, and I always go back to Maybelline Full N Soft. The best mascara I have ever used was the Stila in the long skinny silver tube, but they quit making that and switched their formula and wand 😢
I are spot on with these drug store mascaras. I do a lot of testing with many products high and low end. I find that both work depending on your budget. Finding the right brand is key and yes L’Oréal tends to be one of my favorites. Nice job on the review.
If you haven’t tried the Kokie voluminous masacara you need to! I have long voluminous lashes as well and it is by far my favorite. I use the L’Oréal primer and maybelline colossal with it :)
Allie has the dream lashes! Perfectly curled and extremely long Mine are not curled at all so I usually use lash curler and a waterproof mascara that gets the lashes very “hard” like hair spray, otherwise the curl doesn’t last
I have two favorite mascaras. The one I have been wearing for years is Maybelline Lash Sensational however I had extensions on for a while and with covid had to take them off myself. This is never a good idea but with salons closed I didn't have another option. I basically ended up ripping my lashes to stubs 😭. Now that they have grown out a bit the Loreal Telescopic works the best for me. The brush is thinner so I don't end up getting mascara all over my eye. It also adds length. I'm excited to try the Loreal primer you mentioned because I am trying to get back to my lashes before extensions and covid. It's been a journey. This was a great video. Thank you for sharing!
Kinda late to this video but I just purchased the L’Oréal voluminous lash paradise just because of how many times I’ve seen Allie rave about it. I can’t wait to try it out!! I’ve actually used the orange tube cover girl mascara before and really love the applicator and how it applies the mascara. I’ve never tried the 3rd mentioned mascara but I’ll have to try it soon. Thanks Allie for your helpful videos that make finding good affordable and reliable makeup. ❤️

I used all to the last mascara and now I'm going to buy that. I had such a hard time putting on false lashes that I've given up so I spend 4 months putting oil on my lashes and they grew nice and long and now using Loreal products, my lashes are perfectly long and thick. Great video.
I also enjoy L'oreal lash paradise, but tried Maybelline Lash Sensational. I like the Maybelline a bit better for my small lashes. These types of videos really help when picking something when your unsure. 💕💕

I recently within the last 6 months or so switched to using the covergirl lash blast volume mascara. It is by far the best mascara I have used. I love it. It is better than any high end mascara.
Definitely princess mascara with the green lettering omg all their mascaras are absolutely great and cheap too.

I am a fan of voluminous (always have a backup one)... tried lash paradise in waterproof and didnt like it... plus cant stand the wand. My new fav is maibelline total temptation.... they dont advertise it as waterproof but it does a pretty good job.
Love the tip about pushing up into the roots of your dry mascara for a light curl. I have the same problem that my lashes are very long and curly on their own so I don’t like curlers on me

best ever Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara- Non of the high end mascara can reach this one and I've tried them all . Max Factor started with the silicon wand but they got discontinue in the US and this is when CG.lash Blast showed up .LOVE IT ! can not live without it .

Searching YT today for a lengthening AND volumizing mascara, this video popped up. Only 2 minutes in and I'm hooked! We have similar lashes - naturally long and curly. As I age, my lashes are losing *some* length, so I was searching for my new HG mascara. I'm subbing now!

The L’Oréal Lash Paradise Lash Primer is THE BOMB! I applied the Double Extend mascara WITHOUT the accompanying primer and my lashes felt CRISPY-they still has me length a d volume but it really wasn’t the same-it ALSO was MORE difficult to REMOVE. Primer really DOES make a difference

I have sensitive skin, sensitive eyes, and my eye shape is slightly close-set, deep-set, slightly droopy eyes. I never use waterproof mascara but I want it to last all day, without crumbling.
My ride-or-die mascaras:
1. Maybelline’s Great Lash CURVED (I can’t count the times people have stopped me and complemented my lashes/asked what mascara I use. Effortless, lasting curl, great definition, a pleasure to use. I also have way fewer accidental mascara spots on the skin around my eyes using this wand).
2. Almay’s Length and Lift! No mascara crumbles, a nice wet-but-not-too-wet texture upon application that prevents clumps, and it lasts well without smearing or crumbling. Doesn’t hold a curl as well as the Maybelline curved wand, and I have more accidental mascara on my eyelids with this formula / wand.
I have just started using lash paradise. I have been using physicians formula for years now, but I am having a hard time finding it in stores anymore. So, now I use a mix of the two. I don't think I like lash paradise alone, but it is growing on me.

NO ONE talks about this one, probably because it is in a lame silver tube but MAYBELLINE FULL N SOFT has been my ride or die for years now. It's got a synthetic (soft) brush and vitamin E to moisturize your lashes. I use the waterproof one (non waterproof is a black tube!) I've tried to leave it just for the packaging but it's just the absolute best one I've tried.
It's AMAZING so natural and soft not brittle ZERO clumping! Like 6 bucks too.
My favorite too!!! I’ve tried everything from L’Oréal Lash Paradise to Tarte Lights, Camera, Action, and I always go back to Maybelline Full N Soft. The best mascara I have ever used was the Stila in the long skinny silver tube, but they quit making that and switched their formula and wand 😢

I are spot on with these drug store mascaras. I do a lot of testing with many products high and low end. I find that both work depending on your budget. Finding the right brand is key and yes L’Oréal tends to be one of my favorites. Nice job on the review.

Colossal is my favorite, and it seems to work the best when the product is half empty. The formula isn't as wet.
L'Oreal Million Lashes is my absolute favorite mascara! 💕 It definitely doesn't get enough spotlight!
If you haven’t tried the Kokie voluminous masacara you need to! I have long voluminous lashes as well and it is by far my favorite. I use the L’Oréal primer and maybelline colossal with it :)

Mine are not curled at all so I usually use lash curler and a waterproof mascara that gets the lashes very “hard” like hair spray, otherwise the curl doesn’t last

I have two favorite mascaras. The one I have been wearing for years is Maybelline Lash Sensational however I had extensions on for a while and with covid had to take them off myself. This is never a good idea but with salons closed I didn't have another option. I basically ended up ripping my lashes to stubs 😭. Now that they have grown out a bit the Loreal Telescopic works the best for me. The brush is thinner so I don't end up getting mascara all over my eye. It also adds length. I'm excited to try the Loreal primer you mentioned because I am trying to get back to my lashes before extensions and covid. It's been a journey. This was a great video. Thank you for sharing!
My biggest issue is I need mascara that holds a curl. Most don't if they are not waterproof.
Kinda late to this video but I just purchased the L’Oréal voluminous lash paradise just because of how many times I’ve seen Allie rave about it. I can’t wait to try it out!! I’ve actually used the orange tube cover girl mascara before and really love the applicator and how it applies the mascara. I’ve never tried the 3rd mentioned mascara but I’ll have to try it soon. I really like the Loreal primer also. I have short lashes and find it makes a big difference. I always hated using 2 coats of mascara like people do.
Wow, you are so blessed with that natural curly lashes. I always find mine too boring, it's very full BUT it's so straight; but most people still compliment it :) I'll try one of this product one day :)

Lots of comments about Lash Paradise - honestly was underwhelming for me, felt it was clumpy and didn’t produce as much volume as lash blast. As always a great video from you Allie!
We have the same lash type, but yours might be a little longer. I also like those same drug store mascaras. I recently found ciate london triple shot xxl mascara. Love it! Actually get compliments on my lashes!
