That brings back memories. I learned on a PD3 and drove an all Leyland fleet including XSD789L, the first National in Scotland and C112GSJ, the last National registered in Scotland. Unfortunately, the Western drivers complained about the right hand gearshift and they converted them to an awkward left hand shift. They were used to Leopards. I drove both.
Beautiful bus
They always were and have no doubt that the preserved ones, will continue to be so!
Hope so
That's a well restored and maintained beauty! Not a rattle or bang! Like brand new! I wonder if I can ever get a ride in her?
Hopefully you will do
Next year at the LN52 event
