I just cleaned mine today. With a small bristle brush and an entire can of brake clean. All 4 sensors and tone rings. Car is throwing an ABS light on dash. Hopefully cleaning the parts will solve the problem.
@@s2_eleven551 hopefully. The sensor works by counting teeth, so if the gaps were filled with grime, it could cause an issue. And if not, you have a nice clean work surface for changing sensors
Casey's Garage it’s one of those intermittent issues. They are fun to chase. I thought I would give everything a good cleaning and top off the brake fluid today so I can eliminate that step. So far so good. The light didn’t come on my way home.
Just saw your comment 😂 the GT is a different axle, should be an 8.8 unless you have a fox body, but they're almost identical in how you swap the axle. Actually, I was looking for an 8.8 for this mustang, but the only one available had an owner that wanted a thousand dollars
That's a rear differential not a Axel. The Axel is inside the rear differential. This title is misleading.
@@aaronprecord-handy9324 the axle is the unit, the differential is the gear set in the pumpkin, and the axle shafts are inside the axle
No ABS in that Axle? Where would the ring be?
The abs rings are on the hubs. It's the notched ring with the sensor up against it
