she says she's gay. He is not. He spends too much time caring about the size of womens mouths & breasts. Not to mention the state of Donovans knees in episode 1. They only did it once after he saved her. Ben & Moffat agree. If she is gay, Sherlock's ego would love to turn a gay woman straight, for him. But a serious relationship? Never happen.

I love the way they love each other. It’s similar to John and Sherlock, a mutual understanding and acceptance. Not to mention they’re very attractive together.
This video just confirms the fact that Adlock is a perfect couple, never shipped Molly with Sherlock, I'm just so happy that in season 4 John actually helps Sherlock realize his feelings. I kept hoping in season 3 that I will see Irene again (just started season 3, beginner :3). Thank you so much for doing this video, I have full hope again!

Sherlock is very kind, but she betrayed him. That's not a perfect couple.
That's why Sherlock avoided her because in the end, he knows, he can never trust her.
The thought of her selling him out to the highest bidder will always be there from the moment she sold him to Moriarty.
The reason why he still saved her is because, apart from caring for her, he is kind, just kind.

Or does he just naturally have more dilated pupils? I'm not sure, but I'ma pay more attention this time around watching it. Great job at editing this, btw. You are right. Sherlock loves her. He has always loved her. But he tried to shut his emotions from her. Also he was not sure if Irene was sincere or not. He realized it at the last moment, "final proof"

And even she knew who is the most important person to Sherlock, and it's not her: "Somebody loves you."
One of her last text messages to Sherlock was this: "Johns blog is hilarious. I think he likes you more than I do."
Remember, that Irene outed herself as gay, and Sherlock isn't interested in women.

I have probably watched this video about 14 million and 6 times, and I have probably already commented a couple of times, but here I am commenting again. I am not good with words but what I would love to do is to compliment your editing skills. You ate by the far my favourite RUclips Editor.

Out of genuine curiosity, why do people like Irene? I don't understand why people like her so much. She is clever and ended up with the partial interest of Sherlock, but he didn't like her in a romantic or sexual way. She was also horrible to him and manipulated him. If the tables were turned and it was Sherlock who did all of the things Irene did: walking up to her completely nude, drugging her, beating her with a riding crop, straddling her naked, constantly forcing himself onto her when she expressly said she was uncomfortable, messaged her repeatedly for months after she refused to respond, (stalking by the way) and personalized her ringtone with a sexual noise she couldn't change, then there would be so much horrible backlash from the media that the show would have completely been destroyed. Sure she liked him and that's what most of you are basing this relationship on, but everything in the episode should have had her under multiple different restraining orders. So why does everyone like her so much? I just don't understand.

I agree too. Irene acted on behalf of Moriarty. Sherlock and Irene didn't "loved" each other. It was a relationship only based on mutual respect and admiration, and both were only attracted to the mind of the other. Not more and not less. Irene is a mirror in this episode, in every way. She isn't interested in men and Sherlock isn't really interested in women. Irene has her personal assistant Kate and live in P. A. and Sherlock is lost without his blogger.
Not to forget Irene faked her death as a "test" if Sherlock would really grieving about her. But he didn't. There wasn't drugs in his room what would have been a sign of it. Sherlock only took drugs when he was separated from John because he couldn't stand it to be alone like after Johns marriage.

That's the whole point. Sherlock and Irene's relationship is "psychopathic love," as Moffatt put it. And it's not even surprising. Sherlock Holmes is a strange man who loves strange things, lives a strange life and associates with strange people. Naturally, he can only fall in love with a very strange person. John also married a very problematic woman. It was clear that there would be no normal marriage with a wife like Mary. But they were still happy, albeit not for long.
All lives end, all hearts are broken. Indeed.
