Mark and Wade compete, pitching various monuments, achievements, and artifacts, hoping to make them onto Bob's list for the seven new wonders of ~their~ world.
The ISS one irritated me. Was hoping Wade would use the argument that the list is "of" the world not necessarily "on" the world. The ISS is still "of" Earth since that is where it was made. Kind of like if someone from Mars came to earth they would still be "of" Mars.
I guess the ISS wouldn't have been as great as it is right now if it stayed on Earth. So the whole point of it was to be out of our world. Otherwise, it's useless.
“Basilica de la Sagrada Familia” in Spain, its still not completed. It’s miles high, and they’re still building it. And it’s got all these hand carved details and statues, it’s enormous and they’ve been building it for over 100 years I believe. I’d consider that a wonder. Fun fact apparently it didn’t have a building permit for most of the time it’s been under construction and just recently got one 🤣 Mark describing Fort Knox and how it’s so mysterious and nobody’s been in it, made me think with that argument is Area 51 also a wonder
A nautical league is 3.4 miles. So 20 thousand leagues is 69046.7 thousands feet. So no the 36 thousand feet of the Mariana Trench is not deeper than 20k nautical leagues.

Dang I'm in the opposite camp. I absolutely love listening to mark and bob but wade really gets on my nerves for some reason. I keep having these moments listening to destructible where I'm like "oh look, another moment where wade is bitching about something that's been settled for the umpteenth time. Who's have guessed" while mark talking always has a strange "fills you with wonder" effect on me. It's wild to me how perspectives of an objective product can have subjectively different effects on people huh?
