Translation of what Douwe Bob said at the end of the video: 'Music can mean a lot to people. It doesn't matter whether you are an outlaw or not. At the end of the day music is love and it helps .. saves people'
It's interesting to see how they made this song fit for a duo, but the acoustic is horrendous. Echo and the sound is singing round. This is really a pity because these two are fantastic singers. I know the Johnny Cash version very well, and the fact that the audience is touched by this version says a lot to me.
There something not right with the sound I hear the song twice a fraction of a second after eachother. The happens with Danny Vera and Danny Vera and Mell.
Great done by this two Dutch singers…love it!!!!❤

dank je :)
They compete both in eurovision Songfestival
Ilse was part of The Common Linnets, ESF 2014, (Calm after the Storm) and Douwe Bob was a contestant in ESF 2016 (Slow down)
You like Danny Vera, try a duet from him and Douwe Bob: Cocaine blues. They are good !
This is replicating Johnny Cash who spent some time in prison and also regularly performed in prisons.

Maybe the acoustic is bad because it's a prison and not a concert hall.

I wish I knew how to solve that issue.
@@BackstreetGents Doesn't it have to do with your headphones resonating in microphone?
It is the sound of one of you, not listening via headphones feeding back into their microphone, picking up a delay.
