Set the car to always charge, the Zappi to eco+, and set boost timers on the Zappi. If you go into the Zappi settings on the device itself and go to charge settings, eco+ settings, and turn on plug in charge then it will briefly charge the Zoe at full power which should help fussy cars.
Maybe after you select the 0.30 option or the third option, click on "Done"? I do it every time but mostly using the Calendar (3rd option) and I use a Tesla wallcharger. Hope I'm not misunderstanding your issue. I note that I did update the software a couple of times but they must have done it for you when you take it in for servicing. For the screen to stay on while you charge, there's a box to check in Display options I think. Thanks for your videos, it's because of you that I got my Zoe.
Yeah click done, but daft thing ‘times out’ or something along those line at some point. Will have to timelapse it with a gopro or something to see what secret stuff it gets up to that stops it charging.
I tried to use the schedule in my Kia. I gave up, it’s so much easier to set up the Zappi. Mine is left on Eco+ with a schedule setup to charge from 00:30-04:30. Works every time..
I've only been using the scheduler recently (just switched to Octopus Go), but it's always just worked for me. I have been starting the car, setting the charge to 00:30, clicking done and going back to the main menu, and then turning the car off. My charger is a dumb charger though, not a Zappi.
Zappi timer will work with Zoe more reliably than the car timer. Renault servers can be flaky some times. Zappi probably needs the compatibility mode setting so Zoe wakes properly. Our Zappi Compatibility Mode is set to Active, PWM 12% and Power Factor 0.85. This works fine for our Zoe, which always wakes up to charge. Hope that helps?
If the equipment can do it when set come on 30mins. later. Is it possible to reset the time, so either the car and or Zappi thinks it’s always 30mins. earlier than the correct time. I presume you either wear a watch or time the time off your phone, so keep time for meetings etc. won’t be a problem.
I have the same problem. I am sure I set it to scheduled charging and it didn't start. The app also says it is plugged in and set to scheduled charging. Most days it works, some days it doesnt.
We had a similar problem with my wifes car ( Zoe & Zappi ) using the Zappi schedule timer on the app.To cut a long story short our app settings are now - Charging mode - Eco+ at 100% (would not work at lower % ), Boost setting at manual with the schedule timer set. Hope that helps.
You have click 'done' after selecting it. If it's scheduled to charge the display will keep the timer icon on when asleep and the light on the fan speed knob will be lit
I remember you had a very similar issue way back when you first got the Zoe… don’t remember how you fixed it though 🤔 One thing, I noticed when you went into he charge menu, it was on “always charging” rather than having the timed charge selected. Maybe you’re not actually saving it in the timed charge state? 🤷🏻♀️
That was because it was switched off intentionally. When I come to use it I set it to 00:30 - fails like an awkward thing! PS never did solve it when it was new…just gave up! Electric was cheap then, not now however!
How old is your 12v battery?Maybe it’s not holding the required charge on occasion (such as cold weather) and going into standby and hence not holding time settings? Maybe a new 12V could sort your issues.

Hi Ian just to say are you aware the MOT on the zoe has expired
Lol, expired 22 Feb.

Great to see you posting about your Zoe, I've missed you 🙂
Thank you! 😊

Assuming the time schedule on the zappi doesn’t work for you in the Zoe ?
Seems to get same result…just never starts

Correct, all these years on same issues

Set it up like that tonight…we shall see! Thanks
@@IanSampsonRLO I forgot to add although I'm sure that you already do it , after pluging in enter the Zappi unlock code. Good luck.
My Zoe used to get confused whenever the clocks changed to or from BST, but apart from that the timer worked OK.

Yeah, always click done. Timer icon displays.
@@IanSampsonRLO lock and see if light in centre stays on
As a perspective Zoe owner is it possible to control the charging from the Zappie charger?

@@IanSampsonRLO could be the same issue as way back then in that case?
What if you have Always Charge selected in the car, and then do the scheduling via the wallbox?
I THINK car ‘times out’ like when using onboard scheduling

My 12v has died and I get a warning on the dash about it
Get the Megane E-Tech, Ian.
Have you got one?
@@IanSampsonRLO yes, I used to have a Zoe since 2013. Got the Megane E-Tech 3 weeks ago. I love it so far.
😊👍🌹

Might be you need to upgrade the firmware in the Zappi: ruclips.net/video/biGrwOwIH9Q/видео.html
