Takes much more work for me to sing the lower notes. The higher it goes, the more comfortable I am. I can sing sustained passages very high, but though I can reach low notes, I can't sing sustained passages in my lower register. Too much strain. No strain in head voice.
I'm a soprano 2 and jump from soprano 2 to alto 1 depending on the song (alto 1 on songs that only have a soprano 1 soprano part, because those C6's hurt unless we have the big soprano 2 range)
What an absolute class voice you have! Those high notes are absolutely astounding, out of this world! Love soprano's, especially coloratura soprano's like yourself.
Sopranos are the reason why I started listening to opera. One of my voice teachers was a soprano, who became the muse for several poems. I crushed on her for years and still do think of her sometimes. Female opera singers are always special to me.

I met a working coloratura (she does paid performances to this day) and she would only sing up to an E6. She couldn't sing things like Queen of the Night, but she could do plenty of other roles. I would say it depends on your region and what places/people you work with. You technically don't HAVE to do anything, but if someone else can sing what you can and better, you won't be first choice. If you have a high tessitura and a lot of flexibility in your vocal folds, you could very well take on a coloratura role. If you're under the age of 25, don't judge yourself too much. Just work at your technique and you might be able to get a few extra half steps. You look quite young, so just wait until your voice is fully developed. I know a talent scout for broadway/classical and she doesn't take musical theater students over the age of 20, but she also won't take classical students under the age of 25 lol
I don’t know anything about opera but anytime in choir that we “sang opera” type performances I was given spinto soprano. Like in plays I was mostly given spinto or lyric or dramatic whatever any of those mean.
I was here to gets some tips how Dimash manages his breath support to sing like a coloratura soprano in his higher range. I heard he sang with the soprano section during High School. I can't get over the Bb 5 barrier. It just seems to clip off.
@@newhope5729 Sopranino refers to a singing voice that is higher than soprano, it typically refers to a range of about E4 to E6, sometimes extending as high as G6. A sopranino voice type is rare. It is not considered a classical music part, but would be cast as a soprano.
